Not sure why this is an issue with only 1.6% of the population identifying themselves as gay.

This should be required reading for all those libertarians who think they cleverly pose the question: ‘How does their homosexual marriage affect your marriage?’ to us who oppose it.
Then we’re supposed to say: ‘Yes, wise one, I can see it doesn’t determine the fate of my own marriage. I guess I’ll not be foolish ever again.’

One of the main reasons why the State bestows numerous benefits on marriage is that by its very nature and design, marriage provides the normal conditions for a stable, affectionate, and moral atmosphere that is beneficial to the upbringing of children—all fruit of the mutual affection of the parents. This aids in perpetuating the nation and strengthening society, an evident interest of the State.
And conversely, one of the main reasons why the State now downgrades and degrades marriage is that healthy marriages are anathema to the Welfare State. Since LBJ and his Great Society plans, we see an increase in Socialism as the State creates more and more dependency on welfare and handouts.

But we are fighting a rear guard action. The Church and society have already lost the marriage fight with heterosexuals. The rate of illegitimate children, serial divorces, and just blame fornication is so high because marriage is viewed as a luxury, not a necessity.
Simply put, the majority of people are not getting married before having children (if at all) and are viewing wedlock as a lease with the option to trade in at the end of the term.
We need to oppose homosexual marriage, but quite frankly the issue is more than that. Very few know what matrimony is supposed to be anymore. And that includes most priests and pastors.

Sexual perversion that is primarily created by pedophilia, sexual and emotional abuse isn’t a good foundation for personality building, or personal relationships.

Marriage even predates sin - consider that!
Well they’re such a small percentage but make up 50% of serial killers and that makes a lot of business for cops and Fed’s.
It’s a good list, however, so many of these lists overlook the health detriments of homosexual behavior. The health aspects of homosexual behavior should ALWAYS be included since it has the best chance of being heard by non-Christians. If you can get them to acknowledge that homosexual behavior leads to a significantly higher rate of medical problems (tons of scientific evidence out there) you might be able to make the argument that it’s actually hateful to encourage anyone into such a destructive lifestyle.
This line of reasoning also needs to be used with Christians that have compromised the foundation of their faith who say that we should accept “gays” because it’s loving. Of course we should love those who have fallen into the lies of Satan. But we shouldn’t love the lies. (see my tagline)
