Shady National Review has scrubbed this post from their website. Drudge still has a link to it, but comments are disabled. Rebecca Tallent, big on amnesty has apparently been completely involved in drafting legislation to address the current border situation. Looks like the Boehner fix is in. Shame on NRO for their deceit.

If they do this, there is not ONE REPUBLICAN for whom I will vote in November. I’m out and done with it.

Who is Rebecca Tallent? Her *talents* have been well documented, on this forum. Here’s a snippet of her *bio*....

Tallent is a veteran of immigration fights and a big believer in reform, including a path to citizenship for undocumented immigrants. One of her early endeavors in negotiating legislation was 10 years ago, when she worked as a staffer for former Rep. Jim Kolbe, R-Ariz. Tallent helped draft a major immigration bill sponsored by Kolbe, McCain, and former Rep. Jeff Flake, R-Ariz., now a senator and member of the “Gang of Eight” who created the comprehensive immigration bill that passed the Senate.....

If Rebecca Tallent is involved, it's a lock that we're being sold out.

An open letter to the GOP Members of Congress

As a Representative or Senator in Congress, you took this Oath:

"I do solemnly swear (or affirm) that I will support and defend the Constitution of the United States against all enemies, foreign and domestic; that I will bear true faith and allegiance to the same; that I take this obligation freely, without any mental reservation or purpose of evasion; and that I will well and faithfully discharge the duties of the office on which I am about to enter: So help me God."

"Support and defend the Constitution" it says. Did you see that? That document, in turn, requires, per Art.4, S.4, that

"The United States shall guarantee to every State in this Union a Republican Form of Government, and shall protect each of them against invasion; and on Application of the Legislature, or of the Executive (when the Legislature cannot be convened) against domestic Violence."

An invasion is what we are suffering. That invasion has accelerated with each "comprehensive immigration reform" previously enacted. Instead of another disastrous reform that yet again increases the incentives for millions more to try their luck crossing the southern border, a Member of Congress who took his Oath and the Constitution seriously would be pressing for what the American people have repeatedly said they want - not what Senators Schumer and McCain, Mark Zuckerberg, Mexico, some border state farmers and homebuilders or the Chamber of Commerce rent-seekers want. That is:
  1. secure the border in a transparently verifiable way;
  2. end the anchor-baby interpretation of the 14th Amendment;
  3. enforce eVerify without exception and with severe penalties;
  4. end chain migration - entry per individual qualifications, not family ties;
  5. deportation upon contact with any law enforcement agency - federal, state or local
  6. no government benefits beyond critical emergency care (and that ought to be billed back to the home government); and
  7. NO "Path to Citizenship" - EVER - for anyone who has entered the US illegally.
Any measure that does not accomplish these things is unacceptable. It is de facto amnesty. And it will inevitably, ineluctably encourage millions and millions more illegal entries.

If the GOP is complicit in granting amnesty - and any action that permits those who entered the US illegally to benefit from that illegal act is amnesty - the GOP will cease to exist. It will not survive through the 2016 elections. The people will shun the over-tanned, glad-handing, backslapping quislings and look elsewhere for leaders who actually have the spine for the fight. Make no mistake - to me and to many, many others, amnesty is the GOP's Rubicon. Cross it at your electoral peril.

The fix has been in. This *staffer*/amnesty lover of Bonehead’s is proof.

Kay Granger is in on the fix, too. Shame on her. Her TX constituents are hopefully giving her he## over this.

Why is it in vogue to be anti-American? How can it be that the well-off despise the very culture that gave them their wealth and freedom?

Speaker “Blank Check” Boehner has convinced most voters in the Public and US House of Representatives that NOTHING CAN BE DONE to punish B. Hussein Obama for violating the US Constitution unless he is removed from Office by the US Senate.

IOW, Speaker Boehner, by doing nothing, Boehner violates his unique Constitutional Duty to “Control the Purse” or Impeach Obama, and passes the buck to a Democrat-controlled US Senate that will never Remove Obama from Office.

Obama knows that as long as Boehner stays in as Speaker, then Obama has permission do whatever he wants to do, with no fear of punishment.

Boehner as Speaker is ESSENTIAL to permitting Obama to violate the US Constitution on a near daily basis.

Boehner is “the best Speaker of the House that the Democrat Party has ever had.”

Removal from Office can only come from the US Senate, and ONLY if the US House Impeaches BEFORE the US Senate even considers whether or not to bring an Impeachment to the Floor of the US Senate.

BTW, “stupid” people are those people who are incapable of learning, and Speaker Boehner and all those who refuse to use the Checks and Balances found in the US Constitution are TRULY STUPID, especially the Republican Member supporters of Boehner as Speaker in the US House of Representatives.

Force Boehner to resign as Speaker, and THEN Impeach Obama with New House Speaker Louis Gomert, Jim Jordan or Trey Gowdy.

Do nothing, and US Voters may find no EFFECTIVE reason to vote for a do nothing Republican slate of Candidates in November, 2014.

BTW, BTW, just what is the difference between a do-nothing Republican Politician who always caves-in to his Democrat betters, and an Obama Democrat Politician?

The game continues unabated.

Every two years they stir the amnesty pot and every two years amnesty is “defeated”. Meanwhile de-facto amnesty is granted by virtue of doing nothing and the border remains wide open.

From related article

Spends $100,000,000.
2) Asserts acts that are already illegal are now illegal.
3) Makes it a federal crime to tell someone where a DHS, HHS or Border Patrol bus carrying illegal aliens is spotted, coming from or headed.
4) Makes it a federal crime to prohibit a DHS, HHS or Border Patrol bus from moving from point A to point B.
5) Does absolutely nothing to secure the border and stop the invasion in Texas, New Mexico, Arizona and California. These southern borders will remain wide open and the bill doesn’t address this.
6) Creates a communication channel between HHS and states about newly recommended facilities for housing illegal aliens.
7) Opens up U.S. facilities in Guatemala, Honduras and El Salvador for the purpose of processing illegal aliens on foreign soil.
8) Calls for 15,000 “refugees” from Guatemala, Honduras and El Salvador to be processed on foreign soil and transported into the U.S.
