Without the muzzies, we wouldn’t have the Marine Corps (oops, Corpse) Hymn.

It’s true!

Kicking the Barbary Pirates ass (the muslims) put the US Navy, and the United States, on the map as a legitimate world power.

For 500 years the European powers paid ransom in order to get their loads to their destinations. Jefferson called BS on that plan.

Isn’t it amazing that even then, they wouldn’t call them out for being Muslims just following their religion. Had to call them “Barbary Pirates” as though they were Cap’n Hook or something. The truth was, they were Muslims who saw it as a religious duty to extract what they could from the Christian europeans who sailed the Mediterranean, who they were unable to conquer on land. There was an entire hierarchy of who got the ransom that ships had to pay, and it ended up with the Muzzie high mufti or whatever. It was not a lawless act, they were following their laws and the command of their leaders, and it was Islam in action.

In a way he’s correct. Throughout Jefferson’s political career all he wanted was to go after the Barbary pirates. When we finally had a Navy Jefferson did just that and strengthened America’s image of being able to defend herself. ;-)

"In the United States, Eid also reminds us of the many achievements and contributions of Muslim Americans to building the very fabric of our nation and strengthening the core of our democracy"

Our long national nightmare continues unabated.

Statement by the President on the Occasion of Eid-al-Fitr

“As Muslims throughout the United States and around the world celebrate Eid-al-Fitr, Michelle and I ...” blah blah blah

“In the United States, Eid also reminds us of the many achievements and contributions of Muslim Americans to building the very fabric of our nation and strengthening the core of our democracy. That is why we ... “ more blah

It’s good to knew who built what, if it wasn’t the infidel owners of America’s businesses: Mr. Eid. Thanks for clearing that up pResident Bonehead. Now, go get your golf clubs.

This man has no concept of our founding at all.

Send this ‘dreamer’ back to the foreign hell-hole he crawled out of.

“Let us pray that God saves this nation.”

Instead of praying that God intercedes, you conservatives need to get off your fat, useless asses and get involved politically in your neighborhoods. Stop remodeling your stupid kitchens, stop watching sports, throw out the damn barbecue grill and get involved locally.

Elect a constitutional sheriff in your counties, show up at the local county board meeting and demand they lower your property taxes and present yourselves by the thousands at your schoolboard and demand they stop brainwashing your kids - or else.

One thing I dislike about conservatives is that they love and worship Mammon more than God, liberty and their children.

(Not directed at you, Gumdrop, this is simply my general rant against lazy, stupid conservatives.)

I remember it was a clear day, no precip. I remember that because the skies were filled with fluttering white entities. Gulls? When they started hitting my windshield on the way home, I was startled to see that they were pieces of Xerox paper from the offices torn asunder at the WTCs. There was also the blackest-of-black column of burning jet fuel rising across the horizon at a 45 degree angle. That was what I got to look at the whole drive home. The blackest of smoke (very symbolic, IMHO) and pseudo-gulls of Xerox paper.

I had severe respiratory problems for an entire year after 9/11, coughing up solid chunks of yellow mucus. When they finally razed the buildings, it was an ON/OFF switch was suddenly turned off, and the coughing up mucus stopped immediately. G-d knows what I had been inhaling for a year.

What is even more interesting is that the EPA denied any decline in air quality! According to them, the air was fine. Try telling that to my lungs, jerks.

Sorry to hear all your health-related troubles in the aftermath. Of course, we all know they lied about the air quality; they lied to the first responders as well. I, too, remember the black plume of smoke. I remember closing up all the windows on that warm night because of the terrible toxic odor. What a nightmare!

That week we went up to Sandy Hook point and watched the wretched remains smoke and smoke and smoke...

And who can forget the courageous Hillary Clinton who was concerned because at the very moment of impact, her daughter was jogging “around” the World Trade Center - as if you could actually do that. The lying pant suit didn’t even know the topography of the area.

Oh, and the restaurant that I had my wedding reception in was destroyed on 9/11.
