What will congressional Republicans do if President Obama takes executive action to defer deportation for millions more illegal aliens? "Fox News Sunday" host Chris Wallace asked Rep. Steve Scalise (R-La.) that question on Sunday.
"[W]ill you do nothing, will you...cut off funding for the administration, will you consider impeaching the president?"
Scalise said Republicans intend to be a "check and a balance against this administration," but he also indicated that Republicans will not use their power of the purse to stop the president:
"We're going to keep the government running at current levels," Scalise said, referring to a continuing resolution that the House will take up after its August recess to keep the government operating when the fiscal year ends on Sept. 30.

Nope!
It’s pretty clear at this point why this gutless puke was selected for a “leadership” role.
Bingo!
Get rid of Hairy Reid first, then the blame for shutting down government would be shifted to Owebama if it happened.
At that point he would be vetoing the budget passed by the house and senate. The MSM couldn’t spin that one away!
Congress and the Judiciary have abdicated and are no longer viable. They have allowed themselves to be irrelevant. There is just one branch now - GOVERNMENT and it is run by the president. Elected by fraud and deceit in power for the future.
I have often wondered how DACA itself was legally funded. A unilaterally formed federal program, and yet it is funded. By what means? Legally speaking.....
The corporatists have decreed that the money spigot is not to be disrupted under any circumstances.
Why not just disband the corrupt government
We REALLY need a Republican Senate after this election.
I worry about how much cheating there will be from the Dems.
In other words, they will continue funding an already BLOATED government. Stituation normal.
The Republicans are totally useless.
This Scalise guy is the one that the MSM is trying to label “Tea Party” Rep. Wrong.
He was elected in 2008....two years before the Tea Party TEAnami.
“We REALLY need a Republican Senate after this election.”

I agree but I am also realistic and keeping my expectations extremely low. The recent Republican “track record” is nothing to get excited about. In fact, their track record is one of often running away from problems and caving on most everything the Democrats want.
The Republicans are cheaters too. They cheat on their own constituients, telling them one thing and doing another.
Are the Republicans dead or just laying down in their normal supine position?
+1. You’ve got it right. Good post.
exactly. And that is why I will do nothing at all to support them at the ballot box come November. They have dug their own grave. F-em.
Congress and the Judiciary have abdicated and are no longer viable. They have allowed themselves to be irrelevant.

Irrelevant, yes, but very comfotable in their do-nothing jobs while Obama takes a wrecking ball to the country. They want for nothing while the rest of us pay their salaries, benefits and retirement. Great scam if you can get it.
These sumbishes have a yellow strip down their back 3 feet wide.
They will only fight battles with someone elses children.
They stupidly allowed obama and the demoncrats to set the narrative for the so-called shutdown. None of them took to the airwaves to tell the truth - and counter what the demons said - except Ted Cruz - who got the blame. The stupid party is not only stupid - it is gutless.
At the moment I agree with Scalise. We need to do nothing to upset the apple cart until after the Nov elections. Then see how it shakes out with retaking the Senate. If that happens the GOP will be in a lot stronger position regarding any action they may feel they have to take agains’t the Kenyan.
Well hell, I thought Scalise was one of our better ones from Louisiana, wrong I was again!
Just another coward Rino, there ain’t no other way to put it.

Yes, you are right....{{~sigh~}}
