Before you hurl insults, perhaps you should look at the demographic realities and historical voting patterns in states like Oregon. Go ahead, nominate a pure conservative candidate in Oregon. When that candidate struggles to hit 30% of the vote, how does that help us?

Now, states like Mississippi, S. Carolina and Kentucky are a different story. Surely we can do better than Cochran, Graham and McConnell in those states.

I have no objection to conservative candidates, and I don’t particularly like RINOs, but sometimes reality is that a RINO is the best you can hope for in a given location. We are in a political war here. Wars are not won by going directly after the enemy’s stronghold. We must work up to that. We didn’t win WWII by sending an invasion force to the Japanese home islands on December 8, 1941, did we? We didn’t invade Berlin in January 1942. Sometimes you have to take what you can get to strengthen your own position and weaken that of the other side.

Actually there was a conservative candidate who had a much better chance of her getting elected. He was nominated in a solid Dem district and is pro-life and pro-family. Not exactly 30% and you really don’t know what you are talking about in Oregon.
