The memory of your Prophet Jonah, / We celebrate today, O Lord. / By his prayers we entreat you: / O Christ God, save our souls
I don’t know whether that was even the real tomb of Jonah. That mosque was near the former site of Nineveh, but we don’t know what happened to Jonah after his preaching, and the incident with the plant. Jonah might have gone home.
The tomb is destroyed, but we read the ENTIRE Book of Jonah every Holy Saturday morning!!!!
Phooey to islam! They celebrate Ramadan by blowing up monuments and slaughtering people. We should observe it by eating pork (except during the Dormition Fast, of course)!!!!
