Violent home invaders are basically terrorists. They deserve nothing less than death. If I were on the jury, I’d acquit the old guy in a split-second. He performed a public service. Just a shame he couldn’t have polished off the other (male) thug as well.

Good explanation of a reason why the justice system is broken. Some murderers get off free without doing time - cops who kill "suspects", often individuals who have done no crime but are perceived by the cop as a threat. On the other hand, here is an old guy who is not a threat to anyone, won't harm anyone again, and killed because he was victimized by violent thieves doing him harm. I would acquit him also.

I fully agree. Once they jumped him all semblance of fairness went out the door. I would have pasted both of them. You enter my house and threaten me or my family you are dead meat whether standing or running. I would vote to acquit him.

I have read accounts of perps running away, only to find cover and shoot back. Anyone giving home invaders the benefit of the doubt needs their head removed from their nether regions.
