It takes concentration and a pattern of dedicated behaviors to transcript, copy plagerize that much data, on different dates and different topics. Is he saying his PSTD could be effecting him for hours at a time, where he cannot account for his actions? I’ve heard of this with Ambien. He should be careful using that excuse. It could cause others to see him as unfit for any office.

As a general rule, it is usually fairly obvious whether a written submission in college is a purposeful plagiarism or an unintentional omission of a citation. In Walsh’s case, it was clearly purposeful.
The Senator should feel the effects of this, but also the thesis committee of the War College: this was done in 2007, long after Turnitin.com was available, so it would have taken five minutes and a laptop to check the thesis.
Who wants a senator who has such a handy excuse for his character flaws?
