So what good, if any are they?
Well, for one, it's fascinating to compare different presidents at the same times in their terms.
According to this chart, Presidents Truman, Kennedy/Johnson, Nixon/Ford and Bush II were all around the same levels as O'bama in their sixth year.
Then all but Johnson continued to slide below 30% approval.
Carter and Bush I both fell below 40% in their first term and were not reelected.
Possible that what held Johnson's numbers over 40% are the same factors keeping O'bama's there -- "civil rights" support.
It's also a fact that though Vietnam went badly for Johnson, the economy was doing great, and as somebody famous once said: "it's the economy, stupid".
So Johnson ended his presidency about where O'bama is now.
What does this predict for the future?
Truman, Kennedy/Johnson, Nixon/Ford, Carter, Bush I and Bush II were all followed by presidents from the other party.
What were Johnson’s numbers when he made the decision not to run in 1968?
“Truman, Kennedy/Johnson, Nixon/Ford, Carter, Bush I and Bush II were all followed by presidents from the other party.”
The Rinos are not really offering something different from the Dems. On top of that, the electronic voting machines are totally under the control of the dark side, along with the knee-pad strapping media. I think, without some sort of wake-up event, the Dems will get the next one, too.
While I appreciate your optimism, we can not overcome the inordinate number of ignorant, apathetic, and outright morons who only listen to the enemedia propaganda, and will vote in lock step with the liberal scum. That, combined with the Demonic Party’s overt and consistently unchecked voting fraud schemes virtually guarantees that socialists will continue to destroy this once great republic. The fact that Elizabeth Warren and Hitlery Clinton are considered viable candidates for the presidency is all the evidence needed to prove that our nation is filled with an overwhelming number of idiots who should be charged for their oxygen. The fact that they would still vote for the Demonic Party, even after seeing the innumerable and catastrophic failures of the current ass clown-in-chief, is sufficient justification to charge them at a rate higher than they can afford to pay.
All we need for 2016 is a plausible conservative candidate who hasn't been thoroughly trashed by the MSM...
I suggested a-general-to-be-named-later for 2012, to avoid the damage of years if MSM sniping -- but apparently generals have as much trouble keeping their pants on as any other politician. If the Republicans wanted my advice, I'd suggest beginning to look for someone for 2016 who isn't on anyone's radar screen yet.
