But she has had trouble, many times, with ‘guests’ trashing the condos. There is a $1000 damage deposit, but it must be really bad to enable her to keep it.
The ‘normal’ stuff is food left in the refrigerator, trash all over the place, stuff like that.
But on occasion there are broken dishes, stolen appliances, radio alarmclock and TV or they are damaged. Bed linens soiled beyond use (children pee/crap on bed), animal crap on carpets, toilets stopped up with whatever. Bed frames broken, furniture torn or ripped upholstery, etc. Some people live like animals while on vacation. One of the worst was just a couple of weeks ago, a family from California. The place was a complete mess, AND they would not get out at the appointed time. The next renters had to wait in the parking lot while my daughter had to clean all that mess up before they could go in. I think the owner decided to keep the DD..................
There is a lot of risk involved in this type of business.
