Buddy Carter said that? I had no idea. His victory is not good news.
Looking into it further, in complete context his (Buddy Carter’s) remarks were not nearly as bad as I thought, obviously I was repeating a line from an attack ad. The full offensive quote was:
“some of the things that have happened so far are not so bad,”
He followed that with “the worst part is yet to come.”
The entire quoation
<<<<<<<<<<Another area that is of great concern to me, and of which I have just a little bit of experience, is health care. You know, were at a crossroads in our country today. Were about to undertake Obamacare. So far it started, and some of the things that have happened so far are not so bad. But the worst part is yet to come. We are blessed in the United States with the best health care system in the world. And I want to make sure we keep that. Now, there are going to be drastic changes that take place with Obamacare. As a health care professional and a leader in health care, we need someone with experience, someone with health care experience, in Washington, D.C., to make sure that our health care system in the state of Georgia remains the very best in all the world, and I will commit to you I will make certain that happens. <<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<
I don’t agree with him that Obamacare hasn’t been 100% awful but it’s not like he’s a quasi-supporter of it who then flip flopped, as I erroneously thought. He’s consistently called for it’s repeal.
Still would have preferred that he lost.
He ran attack ads of his own, attacking Johnson for membership in and endorsement from groups that support Obamacare., those “groups” being 1 group, the AMA, Johnson is a doctor.
I don’t like to see dishonest ads in GOP primaries.
