The Ste. Genevieve Sheriffs Department held a press conference Thursday morning in regard to the disappearance of 52-year-old Lynn Messer in front of the sheriffs department.
After Missouri State Highway Patrol Spokesperson Juston Wheetley read the formal press release that was sent out Wednesday, he introduced Kerry Messer, husband to Lynn Messer, who wanted to speak out to the media.
I want to start by thanking everybody involved. First off, the press and news agencies, I want to thank you for showing up. We need your help, said Kerry. I want to thank Sheriff Gary Stolzer for tremendous job that he and his staff have been doing and all the law enforcement he has enlisted that have been so responsive. The literally hundreds of search and rescue people with their dogs and with their expertise that has helped through a very difficult process of elimination. To go through property that is very difficult to search, we wouldnt be where we are today if it werent for their help.
He continued to thank his family who stood with him during the press conference. He also thanked the countless number of people who have been helping with searching and the thousands who have joined them in praying they could find her.

I’m sure the police have their eye on him. For now people in Missouri keep your eyes peeled and check your property. Just hope she’s found alive.
Kerry awoke at 4AM that day to find his wife gone. Her purse and cell phone were still in the house, as was a walking boot she was wearing after suffering a broken toe. Local law enforcement authorities and regional search and rescue teams have scoured the familys 300-acre farm and adjacent properties several times over the last several days, and have turned up no clues as to Lynns whereabouts.

“The Ste. Genevieve Sheriffs Department held a press conference Thursday morning in regard to the disappearance of 52-year-old Lynn Messer in front of the sheriffs department....”
I’m confused. I thought she disappeared from home.
Ha... I thought the same. lame sentence structure.
What passes for journalism these days.
Maybe my reading skills are going south alone with my hair but does this article’s first sentence say that Mrs. Messer went amiss in front of the police station?
Yes it does. No she didn’t.
“I once met a man with a wooden leg named Smith.”
Yes. I guess if one graduates at the bottom of the class in journalism....
Brawndo. It’s got electrolytes. (A reference to the movie Idiocracy.)
He woke up at 4 AM and she was missing. What was the last time he saw her? What was the last time she used her cell phone and who did she call, and does the investigation reveal the location of the cell phone towers that were pinged when she made her last call? Maybe the location of some of the check points coincide with the location of the cell phone towers when she made her last call, while other check points are in the areas he said she was last with him in a vehicle.
I am very suspicious too. Is there a pig farm operation nearby?
Come down from up in the air, Uncle Albert. Do get on with it please.
I hope they have been through that house with a fine tooth comb; what is it with this husband wearing sunglasses all the time. I ain’t buying. If my family member were missing, I would not be standing. I certainly wouldn’t be parading around thanking the sheriff’s department for a “tremendous” job of not finding my family member. The woman had a broken toe. She didn’t take her orthopedic boot with her. She didn’t take her phone. How does someone get kidnapped out of her own bed next her her “loving” hubby without making a sound or leaving a trace?
Ain’t buying.
His pomposity and his organizing of the attention around himself, his directing the search to where she isn’t, he is too fixed up, too buffed and polished, if it were real he would not be sleeping, not be eating, not be so composed, he would look tortured instead of hiding behind those sun glasses. How long have these two been married? What is his marital history? Do they have children? What does he do for a living? I don’t like it, not one little bit.
If I were he, I'd be begging for one.
