The slow American withdrawal from world affairs has been apparent for a long time, but has never been so glaringly evident as this week in the Middle East.
Hamas is at war with Israel, the brutal struggle in Syria frustrates the world, the terrorists of ISIS are making serious progress in Iraq and now another attempt to deprive Iran of nuclear weapons has, so far, been thwarted.
The United States has a position of sorts in each of these arenas, but its not powerful in any of them. American influence has faded.
The worlds governments no longer worry as much as they once did about what Washington wants, partly because Washington doesnt know what it wants. U.S. policy has become erratic and half-hearted, subject to arbitrary change without notice.
Barack Obama, who apparently distrusts American power, personifies this approach. He moves capriciously from subject to subject. One week hes furious about Syria and announces that Bashar al-Assad has to go. When Assad doesnt go, Obama loses interest. He seems always to be making a fresh start. When hes not doing that, hes pivoting, shifting his interest from one continent to another. He seems detached much of the time, then committed, then detached again.

But his spokeschild said it was tranquil out there...
Is true the orb (aka planet) on which all live has entered the next World War. Saying more would not change the path on which this orb is presently traveling. Simply is a matter of how many die this time?
I’m afraid this induces some degree of schadenfreude in me.
We’ve been hearing for decades about how America is imperialist and evil. Watching various parts of the world fall apart without us is pleasant on some level.
(Not necessarily a level I’m entirely proud of.)
Obama said so.
There has been one consistency displayed by obama during his time of fresh starts. obama has consistently sided with the enemies of America.
We’re an Empire in decline. It happens to all of them.
Impeach this communist NOW!!!!!
“After America” by Marc Steyn predicted current circumstance. Some view the slow disengagement of the US as a good thing, others, not so much...
American influence has faded.
A Nation can only influence when it has leadership. America has not had leadership for 5 years now. Thus American influence has faded.

Those fundraisers aren’t going to run themselves, you know.
As the world goes up in explosion after explosion our CIC is MIA on yet another golf trip.
What better way to diminish the US than to strengthen our enemies?
A true statement and quiet maybe is the best chance cause is certain because of the ignorance of those that voted for obama all hades is coming face on to each American. Prayers for an American victory over our enemies obama strengthened.
Unfortunately Obama can’t be trusted to do anything because every time he does something, Americans die.
I’m afraid our only option is to hunker down and wait him out.
May the clouds hug the mountains and may America and all Americans hide in the clouds and wait.
Our waning international influence and decline as a civilization is a outside symptom of the internal disease
A large portion of the American people have become dumbed down, spiritually dead, immoral, parasitic, lazy and frightfully willing to be enslaved by government...
I have a small hope (really small) that we can after the 2016 election reverse this decline...but I won't put any money on it...
The title of Dinesh D’Souza’s movie is “America: Imagine a World Without Her.”
The world is getting a taste of that now.
