You miss my point. 90% of all hollywood people ARE creeps. People go ape nuts over DeCaprio on this site, he has a different opinion, Rosie O’Donalle has a different opinion and folks here hate her, Barbra streisand, etc. One could go on and on. I just find it odd that Garner is so well loved. His politics were no differnt than O’Donalle, DeCarprio, Streisand etc., and yet he is accepted. Simply odd. And people forget there were other movie stars at that Polanski party that they love who knew well what was happening.

I watch them all. I don’t care much who they are. A crap person can produce a work of art or do a good job and just because you view something doesn’t mean you accept it (I’ve read Mein Kampf and Das Kapital and support neither). I don’t want to have to pass a litmus test to get a job (though it is becoming that way) nor submit someone to such a test. That said, would I hire Polanski or Woody to paint the day care center with the kids there? Probably not, but I’ll watch their movies.

Its not politics. The other people your mentioned have irritating personalities, while Garner endeared himself to his audiences. It was his manner not his politics.

I liked Garner and didn’t like the others well before I knew their politics.

One can have politics you disagree with and not be a creep. What is odd about that? The reason people don’t like DiCaprio and Rosie O’Donnell is because they are loudmouth blowhards. Mr. Garner went about his business, and didn’t turn his acting abilities into a political platform. Good for him.
