I think the confusion came out from an initial press report which somehow substituted “Americans” for “Australians,” since there was about that number of Australians on board but no Americans.
Maybe. They still had 41 unidentified. That was what they were saying as being the reason. I think that confusion is BS because they wanted us to believe Americans were on board. This is the problem with coming to conclusions without knowing the facts.
No wonder Obama seemed to not be so upset.
