Ceasefire talks involving Hamas, Israel, and PA delegations in Cairo are stuck on two of the terror organizations demands that Israel refuses to accept, an Egyptian newspaper reported on Thursday
According to Al Youm A Sabe, Hamas demanded that all Palestinians rearrested in recent weeks who had been freed in the 2011 Gilad Shalit prisoner swap be released. It also called for free entry for Gazans to pray at the al-Aqsa mosque in Jerusalem.
It is those two demands that the Israeli delegation in Egypt comprising Shin Bet chief Yoram Cohen, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahus associate Yitzhak Molcho, and security official Amos Gilad is said to have rejected.
The Egyptian daily reported that in addition to those demands, Hamas requested that all crossings into the Gaza Strip, including the Rafah crossing into Egypt, be opened. For the Rafah border, Hamas asked that it be opened in 24 hours, and seeks international commitments that it wont be closed again. The organization also stipulated the opening of naval access to Gaza.

Israel and Egypt have been working together to destroy the Hamas terror organization. Netanyahu spoke on the phone to President al-Sisi before the last cease-fire that a Israel did accept, but Hamas refused. Right now Israel has a good partner in Egypt against Hamas, and that's fortunate for Israel.
Egyptians Hoping Israel Will Destroy Hamas

Egyptian President Abdel Fattah Sisi has thus far turned down appeals from Palestinians and other Arabs to work toward achieving a new ceasefire between Israel and Hamas.
Palestinian Authority [PA] President Mahmoud Abbas telephoned Sisi and urged him to intervene to achieve an “immediate ceasefire” between Israel and Hamas. Abbas later admitted that his appeal to Sisi and (other Arab leaders) had fallen on deaf ears.
Sisi’s decision not to intervene in the current crisis did not come as a surprise. In fact, Sisi and many Egyptians seem to be delighted that Hamas is being badly hurt.
Some Egyptians are even openly expressing hope that Israel will completely destroy Hamas, which they regard as the “armed branch of the Muslim Brotherhood terrorist organization.”
Sisi’s Egypt has not forgiven Hamas for its alliance with Muslim Brotherhood and its involvement in terrorist attacks against Egyptian civilians and soldiers over the past year.
The Egyptians today understand that Hamas and other radical Islamist groups pose a serious threat to their national security. That is why the Egyptian authorities have, over the past year, been taking tough security measures not only against Hamas, but also the entire population of the Gaza Strip.

Well, this is one type of story that is NEVER “unexpected”.
Don’t worry ... I believe will finally be solved in the lifetime of most people who are around today.
