There are many things I like about Texas Gov. Rick Perry, including his stance on the Tenth Amendment to the Constitution. But apparently his new glasses havent altered his perception of the world, or allowed him to see it any more clearly.
There are obviously many important events going on in the world right now, but with 60,000 foreign children streaming across the Texas border, I am surprised Governor Perry has apparently still found time to mischaracterize and attack my foreign policy.
Governor Perry writes a fictionalized account of my foreign policy so mischaracterizing my views that I wonder if hes even really read any of my policy papers.

I was wondering what this article was about when I saw that it said Rick Perry is Dead Wrong. When I saw it was RAND PAUL who wrote it, I already knew who was dead wrong, and that’s Rand Paul, himself.
I don’t even want to hear what Rand Paul has to say because he’s already dead wrong on too many other things, even if - perchance - he might be right on a thing or two.
It’s true ... the NUT doesn’t fall far from the tree!
Hamfisted, amateurish and with a dash of thin-skinned petulance. Not a good tone for a supposed serious presidential contender.
Ted Cruz is laughing.
He is against deportation.
A Nutcase
Ru Paul, the DemocRat ...
Ahhhh.... Rand Paul has ‘policy papers’?
What a laugh.
Immature Tard.
He only runs his mouth so he can stand in front of a mirror, amazed at his erudite stupidity and sophomoric adolescent narcissism.
Bottom line is we are going to have to go back and escalate.
Much like we did in Gulf War I, then ratcheting up the consequences in Gulf War II.
We showed up and did “A Thing” but, never prosecuted a permanent solution.
Reminds me of WWI which beget WWII. We finished the job and changed the outcome permanently.
We will go back to Iraq and go Pall Mall on the terrorists. If only so we don’t have to come back for generations and ensure peace of a lasting permanence.
I hate we will have to go back but, I hate even more the consequences of not settling the issue, once and for all.
Rick has gotten under Rand’s skin. That is a bad characteristic for a leader. Topping it off Paul mischaracterizes the history of Reagan’s presidency.
Other than that, Rand May have a point
I don't see the "mischaracterization". I have no love for Paul but that's Reagan's policy as I remember it.
Rand Paul got it wrong by leaving out a a crucial element of Reagan’s policy, which was having a strong military. That is what “peace through strength” means—the term does NOT refer to diplomacy.
As long as we have the military might to back up our words, we can be diplomatic. Without that might, diplomacy only serves to give time to the enemy to plan and prepare their attack.
The fruit didn’t fall far from the tree.
We have no united face and the enemy is solidly united - we are doomed.
“children” ?
WHO needs the glasses ?
#2
Damn right.
Rand Paul learned foreign policy from his isolationist daddy.
He will always choose to weaken America militarily because that’s what he believes will make America stronger.
That’s isolationist logic for you.
He is never to be trusted.
I am quite literally as likely to cast a vote for John Kerry for president as Rand Paul.
When Republican A attacks Republican B you can bet than Republican B is trying to ingratiate himself with...Democrats.
Sen. Paul is already on record with his ‘we’ll take all comers’ rhetoric about those hard-working immigrants (no welfare state for them! No sir!). It’s blown up in his face and scuttled his political ambition beyond Kentucky and he has no one to blame but himself.
Sad because he had some promise but Potomac Fever is a virulent disease.
Oh pshaw - I meant ‘Republican A is trying....’
So then Rand with all the interlopers streaming across out southern border you take time out to write this article instead of doing something the protect the state of Texas from invasion.
You are a dumb a## clown.
The Governor has the Senator on the run...... the running off at the mouth.
Go Rick
Until Scott Walker shows signs of running I wll go with the Governor of Texas
“Said Perry forthrightly during a Republican presidential primary debate in 2012, I would send troops back into Iraq. Obviously, this is something he advocated long before the rise of ISIS. At the time, Perry urged the United States to return troops to Iraq to act as a balance against Iran .......”
Perry was right at the time.
Rand misleads by not acknowledging his position could have changed because the situation has changed.
In 2012, Perry was right.
