Remember the viral video from the 2008 presidential election, showing a sycophantic Obama supporter, caught up in the hope and change mantra, believing that his election win would put an end to her having to pay her own gas and mortgage bills?
Well, shes had what you might call a fundamental transformation. Meet Peggy Joseph.
I wont have to worry about putting gas in my car. I wont have to worry about paying my mortgage, a worshipful Ms. Joseph said after attending a 2008 Obama rally at the height of his messianic euphoria stage.
Joel Gilbert caught up with Peggy Joseph for the filming of his new full-length documentary film, Theres No Place Like Utopia, six years after Joseph thought that Barack Obama would pay for her gas and her mortgage.
Ms. Joseph told Gilbert, after viewing the 2008 segment together that gave her notoriety, that not only has Obama not been paying her gas or mortgage, but both have gotten progressively harder to pay.
During that time, we needed a change, but change for the better, not for the worse, an awakened Peggy Joseph told Gilbert.
He had a very big voice, just like the Wizard of Oz, Joseph said, comparing Obama to the famous phony wizard. The wizard was this little teeny-teeny tiny man, and I think its the same thing with Obama, the man behind the curtain, Ms. Joseph said in a reflective, disappointing tone.
Ms. Joseph looks back at the time of her 2008 interview, saying, I was Dorothy in the Wizard of Oz. Thats how I feel.
What I learned is never trust the Wizard, Joseph now says.

She’ll still vote D, I bet.
bkmk
NEVER, NEVER involve yourself in hero worship! Instill in your children a sense of self-worth, pride, and thankfulness to God! Do that and people more people will be so much less inclined to believe in lies!
So, “Obama girl” is just now seeing the light. Yet everything she points out he did that she doesn’t agree with he did BEFORE he was re-elected.
Rush says it’s too late. Or it will be too late by the time people wake up. I can’t argue with that.
She might be disappointed in Obama but she still slammed Bush.
That video is both funny and depressing at the same time.
Thank you for sharing some of her bio.
Has to be very frustrating for you.
Unfortunately for all of us, not everyone is swift on the uptake.
Meanwhile the GOPe supported all this to have big tent blacks on their side...
But fear not... The food stamp president can cut it all off.
Six years is a long time for a young person. I can recall being polled by a local newspaper back when I was around nineteen, on a certain hot topic-of-the-day. Without stooping to explanations, I’ll simply say that I cringe whenever I think about my reply. Six years later I was much wiser, but still ready to vote for Ed Clark over Ronald Reagan (my wife talked me out of it).
Meanwhile the GOPe cannot even come up with a coherent argument like this...
Screw Boehner.
Who slammed Bush?
What is weirder is the GOPe still attacking the Tparty for essentially making the same arguments... Is that black woman to Tparty for the GOPe? Are they too plantation racists?
“Ms. Joseph said in a reflective, disappointing tone.”
Yeah, but she’s simply disappointed that the humbug wizard DID’T pay for her gas and mortgage. Her solution of course is to vote for the NEXT humbug wizard who promises to pay for her gas and mortgage and hope he’s the one who finally keeps his promise.
People are capable of political epiphanies. Heck, I voted for slick in 92.
Look at me now!
Glad it was caught on tape. Hey give the girl credit. Millions of others still have not learned a dam thing.
