Pope Francis says migrants around the world are subjected to “racist and xenophobic attitudes” and he wants the tens of thousands of Central American children crossing the border into the United States to be “welcomed and protected.”

It is not the job of the US (or any) government to display compassion. It is the job of government to apply the law evenhandedly and dispassionately. It is the job of individual Christians to display compassion.

If the children are welcomed and protected in the invaded country, the home country loses the desire and ability to develop itself. As always, the leftists get the order of priority backwards.

The Pope needs to have a moment of moral clarity here because he is defacto endorsing the forced imposition of virulent anti Christianity on the United States.

Now this is something I absolutely disagree with this pope.
Someone else said it, but I have no phobia about migrants. But I have good reason to want to protect the borders of my homeland, and also uphold reasonable civil laws and rebuke those who break them.

Well, Rick Perry did say that Muslims from Pakistan, Syria, Yemen, etc. are coming across with the Hispanics. So I guess they should be welcomed and protected, too, right?
