Yesterday it was announced alleged deserter Sgt. Bowe Bergdahl will return to active duty and a desk job at Fort Sam Houston after completing a series of mental tests. Just two months ago, Bergdahl was exchanged in Afghanistan for five high level Taliban members and was welcomed home as a hero by the Obama administration.
Last night on Hannity Bergdahl's former platoon mate, Army Specialist Cody Full, expressed his frustration with the situation and said he wants to see Bergdahl held accountable for his actions. Further, nobody has contacted Full or other platoon mates to ask questions about the circumstances surrounding Bergdahl's disappearance, which calls into question whether the administration is investigating Bergdahl as a deserter at all.
"I think the Army needs to do what's right here and abide by the Army values and he [Bergdahl] needs to face consequence for his action. Not only is it a slap in the face to all the men and women who have served honorably, who upheld their oath and it's also a bad precedent to set toward future service members," Full said.

Lt. Col. Ralph Peters also warned last night on Fox News that the administration is about to set a dangerous precedent that desertion, an action viewed by the military as one of the worst a soldier can take, is no big deal.
UPDATE: According to WSJ, Bergdahl is still refusing to speak to his parents.

Bergdahl was reinstated as a slap in the face to all sensible Americans who wanted him held accountable for his actions.
Also, to take the heat off the administration for using Bergdahl as a pretext to give the bearded jihadis 5 of their bearded savages as a gift from this administration.

The most slap in the face to all sensible Americans is imho that he is getting $350,000 tax free back pay. That is $5,833.33 per month for 5 years
He’ll come out as gay and everything will be fine.

After that he’ll run for US Senator for Massachusetts and win after tossing his medals over the White House fence.

The betting among my cynical friends inside the Pentagon is that this will quietly die after a whitewashed investigation that finds no proof that he deserted or collaborated. He’ll likely wind up with some form of PTSD-related disability.
