Laura Ingraham: Pro-Amnesty Republicans 'Not Off the Hook' on Border Crisis
breitbart.com ^ | 7/14/14 | Tony Lee

Conservative talk radio host Laura Ingraham said that pro-amnesty Republicans like Sen. Lamar Alexander (R-TN) who voted for the Senate's amnesty bill are also to blame for the current border crisis.

On Fox News Sunday, Ingraham said the message from many pro-amnesty Republicans has been, "you will be able to stay here."

"Republicans are not off the hook," she said. "If John Boehner had taken this comprehensive reform off the table early on, I don't think he probably would have had as many unaccompanied minors coming here now."

Ingraham emphasized that the "the general sense of that is deportation won't happen even if Republicans are in charge" and the illegal immigrant children will "be able to stay here, go to public schools, get Obamacare."

And on Monday, Ingraham, who was instrumental in powering Dave Brat to his shocking upset over House Majority Leader Eric Cantor (R-VA), announced that she was "all in for Joe Carr" against Alexander in next month's primary. Carr has closed the gap and trails Alexander by just seven points in a recent poll conducted by a pro-Carr group.

"I'm all in for Joe Carr," Ingraham said on her show. "I think... he's no nonsense, a citizen legislator he'll be and he'll be someone who will actually listen to the people. Politicians at some point do have to listen to the concerns of the people, not just the concerns of one or two, big, fat, interest groups like either LaRaza or the Chamber of Commerce. The people still count, don't they Lamar?"

Actually it looks like this whole illegal thing is blowing up in the Democraps face big time. Blacks are going absolutely nuts over this. I’m seeing more and more videos like this one every day.....

Will Republicans exploit this though? Yeah right.

I support Joe Carr - do not like Lamar Alexander - or Lindsey Graham or John McCain or any of them - but I don’t follow her logic that they are on the hook for this particular thing. They are on the hook for being dumb basses about what immigration reform would do as written for Obama and Reid, etc - but not on the hook for a bill that never became law, and is not impacting this situation.

This is Obama’s Cloward and Piven strategy, period.

While we pay for not being able to afford to buy healthcare for ourselves and getting penalized or it in the process. This situation is an atrocity. How can blacks stand by nd ontinue to support this traitor?

I find it VERY ironic that the Feds want churches’ charity to feed and shelter the illegals but kick God in the face every chance they get by promoting abortion, homosexuality, destruction of marriage, pedophelia, etc...

“but not on the hook for a bill that never became law, and is not impacting this situation.”

Well, I disagree there. The constant and continual promise that “comprehensive immigration reform” will be passed has encouraged these people to keep coming, because once they get here, they won’t be sent back.

And ANY politician who supported “comprehensive immigration reform” is culpable.

The number one strategy of the progressives is incrementalism. Pushing a little bit harder every day, week, month, year, decade....

The likes of politicians that Ingraham names (and I include Bush) have never come out strongly in support of border security and stopping these invaders. They all skirted the issue and let the progressives, and the Chamber of Commerce, push them a little bit more each time till we're where we are now.

They can't go back and say, "Look at my record, I've always been for stopping this invasion" because it's simply not true. By looking the other way for the last decade and a half the invasion has become part of the fabric of our society. NOT ONE of these "politicians" ever said a firm "Stop". Ever.

I think you are over thinking what these illegals know and think….all they know is Obama said come and you’ll be okay. They know nothing of our congress’ debate.

I’m not excusing Lamar - but there’s plenty of legit things to blame him for.

True, but this is NOT incremenatlism…that’s my point. Incrementalism failed, so obama threw the bomb

I have long been a fan of Ingraham, but lately she has been obsessed with the Immigration issue and ignores many other major topics. I used to appreciate her advocacy of Conservatism without being directly involved in candidate advocacy. That however has changed recently and I believe she is beginning to take herself and her importance to campaigns and candidates too seriously.

It’s been in the news since at least the election in 2012, when Obama was reelected and the republicans didn’t take the senate, everybody was saying “well, I guess we’re going to have to do Amnesty” Then the bill got going and it’s been in the news since.

I don’t care what the illegals thought. Word got to them that Amnesty was going to happen, get to America!

And every politician that supported Amnesty in some form, or to defund the border fence, is responsible.

Well, that’s a stretch. As angry as I am at all the Republicans who ever worked with Obama and Reid on immigration reform - I just can’t say that they are also in favor of a Cloward Piven strategy. They were wrong, and are wrong - but even McCain and Grahamnesty at their worst would ever allow intentionally propogate something like this.

They were trying to make the best out of a bad situation, and were misguided. The libs are trying to make the bad situation even worse. Big difference, but if you insist on being that angry at Lamar, go ahead.

Obama has shifted his focus away from his own people / race and redirected it to the new soon to be half of the U.S. population. The black people need to realize that even though Barack may look like them he is nothing like them. He was raised as a white child in a private school for a large part of his life and lived abroad as an Indonesian Muslim for a significant part of hs life. He CANNOT relate to the black experience in the U.S. because he never lived it. Even when he bacame a young man mysterious money paid for him to go to the most prestigious (typically white) universities. Someone was white gloving and grooming him the whole way. He grew up living a life of privilege and never suffered. He cannot relate to them. Even though he claims he attended a black church and was a Christian it turns out that was a sham too so he could get elected. Jeremiah Wright has said that he only rarely attended and that church was not his thing. We now know why. It was to give the false pretense that he was Christian because he needed it to get elected. Had he said he was a Muslim in 2008 he would not be sitting on the throne now.

Black people, you were sold a lie. He doesn’t care about your plight because you only make up 12 % of the population.

This whole massive invasion could boil us down and destroy the country. If it does, I hope to God that every single one of those Pro-Amnesty Hispanics get their homes burned to ashes and bank accounts cleaned as a due reward.

They deserve every little bit of suffering for promoting this lawlessness. Ditto for the libs who opened up our borders in the 1960’s to 3rd worlders as well.

We get exactly what we deserve for being “tolerant” to people who have no business being in the civilized world.

I think many of the funds he keeps allocating to pay for this and that program are actually being divertec and used to pay off Republicans to turn them into RINOs. It would be a great strategy but very conniving, evil, and treasonous if discovered. Sure it might be difficult to prove without auditing the books but I think that is hat’s happening nonetheless. It’s the only thing that really makes sense that would explain the GOP’s continued failure to act on issue after issue.

interesting analysis, but I do not think it’s correct. Someone like Alexander is just not conservative any more, not connected to life outside Wasington anymore - and thus is a non factor as a member of the “loyal opposition.” But he’s not a Cloward Piven strategist. Degree of evil matters….A LOT.

“They were wrong, and are wrong - but even McCain and Grahamnesty at their worst would ever allow intentionally propogate something like this.”

Nonsense. They’ve done everything possible to keep the flow going so that pressure builds for their beloved “comprehensive immigration reform.” They rejected any amendment to the bill they cobbled together in secret committee, including a border fence.

http://dailycaller.com/2013/06/18/senate-rejects-amendment-to-build-border-fence/

They also all voted to defund and gut the Border Fence Act in 2007 when they didn’t get Amnesty on top of it.

Whether they are in on some Cloward/Piven plan or strategy is irrelevant. They are still responsible for causing more of a problem with their “virtual fence,” “we can’t deport 11 million people,” and “we must be humanitarian” talk.

By the way, Laura Ingraham and Ann Coulter ALWAYS agree with the “can’t deport 11 million” - in fact, they say that no one serious is even suggesting that.

Which is funny, because almost all of those who glom onto the “full Ingraham” on immigration support just that.

And dude, get your facts straight. Only 53 Senators voted against the fence….that means probably no Republicans….1 or 2 at most…..
