Conservative social culture, among other things, is based on mutual respect. There is nothing “conservative” about being an ass.

I once called cops “pigs” on this site for something they did and got HAMMERED for it.

So, in this case, it is OBVIOUS to me that this man TAUNTED the cops and got just what he deserved. Maybe next time he won’t question their judgment.

What is wrong here is that the cop went out of control and inflicted uncontrolled violence on a man in a wheel chair, he wasn’t arresting him or telling him to prepare for arrest, or even subduing or controlling him, he lashed out with a completely emotional type of violence and expression of anger that could have seriously injured the man, and which was in no way formal or controlled.

But nothing that justifies laying hands on another person, either.

If I speak the truth to a liberal, they think I'm an ass.

I don't intend to stop that just because some sad sack got his feelings hurt and wants to beat me up.

That's not the rule of law.

I'll be an ass if I wish, rudeboy.

Am I the only one who finds this statement to be ironic coming from someone whose handle is "1rudeboy"?

When I was in college, I had been at the campus bar one evening for a while with a buddy. We went next door to get some burgers, and went back outside to eat them. Just then, the police decided to raid the bar for some reason. One cop approached my friend and asked him for his ID... he took the top bun off his burger and shoved the messy part into the cop's chest and said "sure, will you hold this for me while I get my wallet out".

I could hear him yelling "how fast does this thing go" as the paddy wagon drove off with him in it.

The next day he showed back up with 2 black eyes and a pretty messed up face.

” He had every right to address them.”

Yes. But the most effective avenue would be to take it up with public affairs or at a county commission meeting.

Probably. But you should be able to talk to law enforcement, even in criticism, without being arrested.

I observed (loud enough for the cops to hear) that their squad cars were parked outside at the curb at expired meters, whereupon one of them said: "That's the privilege of driving a black and white car."

That's standard here in San Francisco also. City vehicles don't get tagged at expired meters, particularly cop cars. However, city vehicles can be towed from some illegal parking spots, such as blocking fire hydrants.
