“40 and cruising nightclubs = pathetic.”
Well, I was sorta “cruising.” As the lead guitarist/pedal steel player in a good Country band here in Northern Ohio, I did okay with women from their late Twenties to late Thirties, until I retired at 54. Running my own company during the day, and gigging 5 to 7 nights a week, plus the women, finally wore me out! But it was fun while it lasted! 8^)
Being in the band gets a pass.
