The VA's defenders insist that the wait-list scandal demonstrates a need for better funding...

A private business that fails to live up to its obligations goes out of business and yields its turf to somebody who can live up to the obligations.

A government agency that fails to live up to its obligations can say it's because the stingy taxpayers haven't given it enough money. And it can demand more and more money each year while it continues to fail. Forever.

Apparently, some employees at the VA would rather have Veterans die and suffer than in any way risk their paycheck, benefits and retirement. Ghouls. The VA has deteriorated into a make-jobs social program (rather than a service organization serving Veterans). Disgusting. Maybe the only way to change this perverted monster is to de-fund it and close the doors. Have the VA employees no shame?
