On Tuesday, Tom Coburn (R-OK) went on CNNs Crossfire to discuss the Obama-orchestrated flood of illegals. The President wants $3.7 billion dollars to deal with the problem, but Coburn had a different solution. For less than $20 million we can fly them all back - first class.
The next day, Coburn made the claim again - but this time he said it would cost under $20 million.
Well, the eagle-eyed fact checkers at the Politico werent about to let such an egregious flip-flop go. No-siree-bob! They pounced with a story called Coburns tickets home just went up.
According to the worst website in the world, theres just no way Coburn could put every illegal in first class for the amount of money he was claiming. So he had to revise his estimate. Busted!!

Of course, The Politico then acknowledged the following claim made by Sen. Ron Johnson (R-WI):
I went online earlier, Johnson said on CNN. There are airfares as low as $207 to return these children in a humane fashion.
Johnson looked up five separate airfares as options for getting the unaccompanied children back to their countries of origin, he told POLITICO on Wednesday afternoon. He averaged the costs to a fare of $250 a child and found that the total cost of flying the children home though not first class came to $14 million.
Not. First. Class.

FReep Mail me if you want on, or off, this Wisconsin interest ping list.
That plan pisses me off because I think they should walk, but he’s got a great point.
Just as expensive ObamaCare had nothing to do with improving healhtcare, Obama’s Immigrant “fix” has nothing to do with returning them.

The $4 billion is for resettlement of the invaders in the US
Obama has no intention of sending anyone home.
I’m sure the govt is paying much much more to fly a charter to Latin America.
Some is probably getting rich off of those flights and the much more frequent ones domestically.
For that matter, buying every uninsured person a private health insurance policy would be a hundredth of the cost of ObamaCare. Or a thousandth.
Excellent idea to fly them home. That’s $14 million.
Send them with clean clothes, soap, a toothbrush and toothpaste in a nice little carryon bag. Also, a box of nutritious health bars. These kids are pawns, they shouldn’t be treated like cattle. At least, not by us.
That should bring the total to $28 million, well worth it.
Remember how the libs fought tooth and nail to send Elian Gonzales home to Cuba in spite of his relatives’ having a home for him and wanting desperately to keep him? Poor kid went home to years of hideous indoctrination.
Here’s a better idea.
I’m starting a group: I need 56000 other people, each with a car.
Each car picks up one person, and we drive them across the border.
Plan to arrive at El Paso bridge at noon on Aug. 1.
We storm over the bridge and drop off our passengers.
Who’s with me?
How much gas does your vehicle hold and how long are you willing to side on the bridge in the heat while fedzilla blocks your ‘train’?
Why not just load up a couple of military C5As and save the airfare?
Save money with parachutes.
Does that $20M include de-lousing the aircraft?

The good thing about AirTrebouchet is that your luggage arrives the same time you do. ;)
The first order of business is to stop what is coming over right now.
All roads coming from the border should be blockaded.
Save the $20 million. The government could fix the current border mess in one week. Illegal aliens living in the U.S. send billions of dollars to their countries. Simply cut off all money transferors to El Salvador, Guatemala, and Honduras.
According to Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) money from illegal aliens living in the U.S. amounts to 16% of El Salvador’s GDP, 10% of Guatemala’s GDP and a whopping 20% of Honduras’s GDP. Cutting off the flow of money from these illegal aliens would devastate the economies of those countries.
Tell these countries we will lift the ban when they send busses and planes and take their kids back home where they belong. A few days without the money the illegal aliens send them would get these countries racing to retrieve the alien children invading our country.
I don’t understand how “less than $20 million” is different from “under $20 million.”
Leave the kids here I’m sure there are thousands of gay couples who would adopt them. Their Central American parents will be so grateful.
