Following are excerpts from an interview with Hamas spokesman Sami Abu Zuhri, which aired on Al-Aqsa TV on July 8, 2014:
Interviewer: "Are people still going up to the rooftops?"
Ayad Abu Rida (Reporter) : "Witnesses told us that there is a large gathering, and people are still going to the Kawari family house, in order to prevent the Zionist occupation’s warplanes from targeting it."
Interviewer: "What is your comment about this? People are reverting to the (human-shield) method, which proved very successful in the days of martyr Nizar Riyan…"
Sami Abu Zuhri: "This attests to the character of our noble, Jihad-fighting people, who defend their rights and their homes with their bare chests and their blood. The policy of people confronting the Israeli warplanes with their bare chests in order to protect their homes has proven effective against the occupation. Also, this policy reflects the character of our brave, courageous people. We in Hamas call upon our people to adopt this policy, in order to protect the Palestinian homes."

They are doing this so the media will show dead women and children in the streets so they can call Israel monsters..this is what they do and they get away with it every single time because they know that the vast majority of the American media are Anti Israel so it works
Best solution is to kill the human shields in large quantities. This tends to discourage the behavior...
I watched a video earlier today that the IDF released. They hit a big building with a small munition first to warn civilians away. Many ran away down the street. Many more ran TO the building and I’d say over 100 people packed the roof. The IDF obviously chose not to engage at that point.
And there’s the rub. I’m a compassionate person. I really am. But no matter your age or gender if you, of your own free will, run TOWARD a fight to shield military assets with your body you aren’t a civilian and no news agency with even one droplet of integrity should be able to say otherwise. You are now a combatant. You JOINED the fight.
It doesn’t make it any less distasteful or sad or terrible that so many are willing to throw away their lives for so little reason but they are still the enemy.
I can’t see a way that we can keep our own civilization if we can’t label those who INTENTIONALLY AND WILLINGLY stand over a weapons dump or command center as enemies.

It has galled me for years. The world press has no common sense at all— or is blinded by their antisemitism.
You have one side that consistently targets civilians by preference. They even state categorically that they’ll use civilians as shields because they recognize that their enemy values their lives more than they do themselves.
On the other side, you have soldiers that will avoid civilian casualties to the point where their own safety is in jeopardy. Time and time again.
This is pure good vs. evil. It could not be more blatant. Still the world harps on Israel for daring to defend itself. After endless rockets, kidnappings, bombings, etc., any other country in the world would have vaporized the Palestinians— to great applause.
