A successful revolution to restore the Republic would not, could not "just happen".
The circumstances leading up to it would have to (at least) split the military, like 1861.
Right now, from what little I know of the 03-06 ranks through personal contacts, the massive anti-freedom indoctrination of the officer corps is having the desired effect.
Add to that the memories of Benito Mussolini and Clara Petacci and one can not help but appreciate history for providing an uplifting moment.............
