The wines were from wineries owned by members of their exclusive "concerned for the poor" club.
They phrased it awkwardly because the hipsters in charge of desktop publishing learned the language in internet chat rooms.
If the documents were fake, they'd have something interesting in them. Something stupid that they wanted conservative bloggers to jump on so they could announce their successful duping of "rightwing hysterics".
