About you personally I cannot speculate, but I’ve seen heartbreakingly too much treating of eschatology as a spectator event, as something more akin to fate than to prediction. Like OMG look how things are falling apart, ergo judgment is coming, ergo we should just duck-and-cover in our prayer closets.
That attitude should have been obviated once and for all when Christ asked whether He would find faith on the earth when He returns. That is an obvious hint that NO, He won’t. We are responsible for part of our judgment when we drop faith on the floor.
I understood your post completely, Pollywog. Watching this train wreck is beyond frustrating, IMO.
