Brazil’s historic meltdown in a semifinal match at FIFA’s 2014 World Cup reached a fevered pitch late in the first half, when fans once again turned on President Dilma Rousseff as the target of their outrage after Germany took a 5-0 lead against the overmatched home team.

In a move similar to what happened during the World Cup opening ceremony, Brazilians seated at the stadium started to chant “Hey, Dilma, go get ****ed in the ***!” at about the 40th minute. The chants lasted for about three minutes.

We Americans will have to come up with a different chant for our president. One he would find insulting.

Hopefully, it wasn't about the game. Hopefully, they are just tired of Dilda!

That's not it.

The President basically campaigned on her view that hosting the World Cup would make Brazil a showcase, that the enormous spending to prepare for the Cup would stimulate the economy, and that the positive experience of millions of tourist fans and international business and political leaders would help create a renaissance.

Instead, it was a cauldron of bribery, incompetence, and inadequacy.

Now it has been capped by the most humilating loss most Brazilian soccer fans (in other words, most Brazilians) can remember.

This just crystallizes Brazilian frustration with Rousseff's empty promises and underperformance.

Rousseff, another marxist failure in South America. I’m willing to bet that Obama and Jay Carney had her picture on one of their walls.

“Rousseff, another marxist failure in South America.”

Barry needs to let them know we can take their children

They’re unhappy about the socialist they elected - same as us.

The score in that game would have been the equivalent of 49-7 in football.

” This just crystallizes Brazilian frustration with Rousseff’s empty promises and underperformance. ”

Sounds familiar - except, we’re losing a country instead of a game

Rousseff’s failure is going to make it hard for any Bulgarians to become President of Brazil in the future...just like Obama’s record will make it very hard for any half-Kenyan Indonesians to become President of the US.

I was going to suggest that it equals a baseball score of around 16-2, with a score of 10-0 after 5 innings.
