As certain as the sun rises in the east and sets in the west liberals (marxists) will never give up in their attempt to rule over you. The battle must be fought every minute of every day.

Becomes a nightmare? It has always been a nightmare.
It is important for us homeschoolers to follow CC because it does touch our kids with the changes toward college entrance and acceptance standards.

Stop putting words into President George W. Bush’s mouth which he never said, and you know damn well that he didn’t

In both states the governors tried to get rid of Common Core, but parents are shocked that it may return by court order as unelected educrats claim they have more power than the state legislature and governor combined. The Oklahoma legislature approved a law to repeal Common Core, and the governor signed it, but now its state board of education has filed a lawsuit to bring it back. How can these educrats have standing against the State who employs them, and who passed a law stopping their actions? And why on earth doesn't the same State just fire their @sses for insubordination?

Excuse me?
I hope you're not being serious here. George Bush set up "No Child Left Behind" and thought the federal government was the cat's meow when it came to education (and a lot of other things the feds don't belong in).

home-school curricula will need to adapt to the new tests in order for the students to be admitted to collegeA worthless K-12 education to get a worthless college education.

But even home schooling may not help, if colleges all convert to the new testing standards based on Common Core guidelines. The tests are what drive curricula, and home-school curricula will need to adapt to the new tests in order for the students to be admitted to college. Then it will be time to study overseas.

Yes, the Teddy Kennedy education bill that Bush signed. It’s funny how liberals always seem to forget to mention that No Child Left behind was brain child of Teddy Kennedy.

Well, I don't know why the socialists would not want to take credit for socialized government education. I think it's more amazing how many "conservatives" seem to forget that Bush not only sighed the freaking bill but created monstrous bureaucracies that had "Welcome" signs all over them for Obama.
Bush was a mixed bag. I admired him for going after the bad guys after 9-11. Sent them running scared back into their caves. He set a high moral tone and example I think also. But he got his eye off the ball with Iraq IMO and was a socialist domestically.

I worry about this too but have to imagine any “good” school interested in getting cream of the crop students will look beyond test scores. The admissions people have to know the home schoolers are more prepared and have better educations than most of the others.

I feel that in ten years the last thing on my mind will be sending my kids to a liberal university.
