Binney was explaining the Naris Device throughput as “10 gigs per second” and that was TOO TECHNICAL for the interviewer..??!?!

I think Still was thinking of keeping the technical jargon to a minimum to appeal to a wider audience.

I’ve heard other interviewers do similar things.

At the beginning of video there is in text June 28, 2014. Do you know if that is date of the interview or date Bill Still put videos together?

Bill Binney mentions 2001 and a little later uses the words “this administration”, is he referring to Bush or Obama I am wondering.

I think Binney quit in 2001.

The interviews and videos were put together by Still I think starting in June 2014. In some interviews Binney mentions the Bush admin (while he was working at NSA) and in other interviews he references the Obama admin and their ongoing snooping (and possible targeting of tea party sympathizers).

It was unclear to me in which year(s) he was being threatened with prosecution. I assume more recent years as I don’t think he came forward publically until after the Snowden affair. I could be wrong about that, however.

Perhaps Still will put together a timeline of these events.

If I remember right, FReepers and other “conservatives” condemned this guy when he came out. I hope we’ve gotten smarter and it’s not just the change in administrations, then we go back to being statists the next time there’s a GOP POTUS.
