It always amazed me that Rosie somehow convinced legions of women that she was the “Queen of Nice,” when it was so obvious from watching and listening to her for five minutes that underneath she had a really hard, angry edge and could be a b*tch on wheels.
Back then, she DID put on a pretty good act. If you look at old clips from when she was known as the Queen of Nice, she wore makeup and was almost cute. She pretended to be heterosexual, making much out of her supposed crush on Tom Cruise. She pretended to be nice to her guests. I think one of the first clues to her real self was when she was so horrible to Tom Selleck just because he did ads for the NRA.
