Why would Libertarians not like Cruz?
While conservatives, he’s 100% small government low tax.
That’s about 80% of the libertarian desire.
I’m willing to bet he’d let them smoke pot, if they pay tax on it and suffer the consequences of being stupid idiots, just because we need to dial back the police state.
When it comes down to it, pot is their number one issue. They think legalizing pot is the path to fixing all big government problems. Or so they say. They would have pot legal while the nanny state stays in tact.
The Libertarians and Rand Paul blamed Cruz for the government shut down. That was the beginning of Rand Paul’s anti-Republican campaign.
We Cruz supporters know very well that the libertarians are the people who have been so hostile to Cruz, we have been the ones having to deal with them.
Any TRUE conservative would let them smoke pot. It's part of that personal responsibility and individual freedom thing.
Republicans (GOPe) on the other hand are generally fine with the war on drugs and jack-booted thugs as long as it's THEIR jack-booted thugs.
If Cruz came out for legal pot, he would lose my vote.
