Third parties are not favorable to conservatives. It's better to focus energy on reforming from within.

If the GOPe doesn’t want to get in the back of the bus, they’ll end up under it.

The GOP should fight for America not “splinter” it.

This is a different time. Something about what you get when you “lie down with dogs” comes to mind.

There is ZERO chance the GOP will be “reformed”. Why? They have all the money. What do we have? The votes. It’s like a game of chicken. As long as we keep blinking we lose.

I respectfully disagree. I know people who have worked inside the GOP and let me assure you that’s not going to happen. The GOP won’t allow it.

The GOP is controlled by moneyed interests, likes big government and spending almost as much as liberals do, and does precious little to advance real conservative issues.

The GOP only pretends to be conservative; it is a fascade. The party wants our money and our votes, but not our principles. Attempting to reform the party from within in a fool’s errand IMO.

RINOs will only go out kicking and screaming and splintering, but go out they will.

I'm serving advance notice that I only vote conservative even if it means dems get the White House.

GOP must put up conservatives or be destroyed.

I said the same thing with Mitt and meant it and the results are amazingly apparent.

I believe the GOP will double down on stupid.

Screw em.

Wrong. We are the enemy. They are our enemy. Simple as that.

We have been trying to do that for 12 years no to no success.

The Republican Leadership, Karl Rove, John McCain, Mitch McConnel, Lindsey Graham, Mitt Romney (Socialist Medicare), and Paul Ryan (illegal immigration, etc... Have been doing everything they can to collaborate with the Democrats that want to exhaust our resources by flooding it (Cloward Piven Strategy)in order to collapse the United States.

These clowns that signed a rigged agreements like NAFTA and GATT that has exported many of our jobs, the coal industry, which is 50% of our power, being shut down and at the very same time they our flooding country with people will be on government welfare, free housing, free medical, free education. Basically they a slave class that will do whatever the government wants them to do like take away our rights. Even though that is illegal and high treason.

The Globalist (aka Spectre) are imploding our country folks. This is coming from the same people that say they can inside trade, but the average person cannot. They want to bring in the North American Union.

This is what you get when you have one party rule. The current Republican Leadership is completely compromised and have sold out this country. They have to be replaced immediately or the Tea Party has to organize.

The Republican Leadership has sold conservatives out! Repeat the Republican Leadership has sold conservatives and our country out. They have betrayed conservative movement.

Can’t be done. Cochran’s shenanigans in Mississippi just proved that. The GOP-E needs to be burned to the ground and the earth salted underneath it.

The DNC Lite™ does not want to change, as witnessed in Mississippi. They are on their way to becoming the third party.

What the Hell do you think the Tea Party has been doing?

If it wasn't for the Tea Party, there'd be no Republican majority in the House.

We get attacked by the elites in the GOP, for daring to stick to principles that Republicans are SUPPOSED to be sticking to.

There is obvious reason to prefer that one of the current major parties could be transformed into a conservative, small government, non-corporate cronyist, pro-middle class party.

The rules, however, do not favor that. They favor the moneyed, the insiders, the nepotists. Are we or are we not looking at Bush 3?

Admittedly, it is a pipe dream, but we must return to the original ideas about a republic: electing local electors who we know and trust who gather and pick the president. Democracy is a terrible tyrant.

A democratic election — popular vote victory — is giving in to the power elites.

Have to exterminate some RINOs first.

In the metaphorical sense, of course.

I always find these threads about starting a third party amusing. Conservatives can’t even organize a dozen people to go to the local village council meeting to protest a property tax. They can’t organize a dozen people to show up at the local schoolboard meeting to protest the leftist public school curriculum.

The proof is in the pudding. High property taxes are nearly everywhere. The leftist public school agenda is marching onward. Conservatives don’t show up at their local government meetings, and they want to start a new national party? Ha!

Until you take back your local communities and neighborhoods by organizing and throwing out the leftists in your village councils, the county boards and the schools, you ain’t in no way and no how ready to start a new national party.

The founders left us a blueprint called Committees of Safety. Unless you commit yourselves and follow the Founder’s strategy, you will fail.

I’m a Conservative, not a Republican. I will never give a dime to a party that calls me racist and stabs me in the back at every turn. You’d have to be a f***ing idiot to support your enemies thus. The uniparty can fight for votes amongst the illegal aliens, section-8 sponges and corporate welfare queens.

We’ve experimented with various ways to overcome this corrupt, rigged system over the last decade.

So far we’ve found lots of things that will work, given a large enough mass of conservatives.

So far those conservatives have not been willing.

But, as anyone with basic reading comprehension skills can figure out from reading the responses on this thread, that is changing.

This is what happens when the GOP vote splits

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/United_States_House_of_Representatives_elections,_1912

Democrats got just 43% of the vote, and TWO THIRDS of the seats. Imagine what a democrat supermajorty would do today.

That was the, and this is now. The party elites have all the money because the conservatives are the working class, not the moneyed one. The elites have the lobbyists in DC who give them big cash for big favors. They vote with them, not us. Who are we, anyway? We need to quit fooling ourselves.

We’re being trashed by everybody, the democrats, the GOP-e, the other so-called libertarian parties...who are basically not much more than glorified Marxists. Since Reagan, we’ve been told to stay at the back of the line so we don’t embarrass anybody, shut up and vote for their picks, etc. Personally, I’ve had it. They pull out all the tricks, rig elections just like the democrats, to make sure that if a conservative DOES win a primary, they sure as hell will not win the general election very often. Just how much abuse is a battered wife supposed to take...might be the real question. I’m feeling the abuse right now. I’m really pretty tired of it.
