Report: Murdered Arab Teen 'Was Burned Alive'

An Arab teenager whose abduction and murder triggered violent protests was burned alive, autopsy reports show, as clashes over the killing spread Saturday from Jerusalem to Arab Israeli towns.

Mohammed Abu Khder, 16, was abducted from his Shuafat neighborhood in Jerusalem early Wednesday, and his charred body found not long afterwards in a the Jerusalem Forest.

Palestinians have blamed Jewish extremists for killing him in revenge for the kidnapping and murder in last month of three Israeli teenagers.

Palestinian news agency Maan quoted Palestinian Authority Attorney General Mohammed Aluweiwi on Saturday as saying the initial findings of a post-mortem indicated the presence of smoke in the boy's lungs, meaning he was still alive while being burned.

Abu Khder also suffered a head wound, but that was not the cause of death, Aluweiwi added.

Israeli police said they still could not confirm the motive for Abu Khder's murder.

I like to think that I am as pro-Israel as anyone here but I found it remarkable that virtually none of the first 25 responses seemed to express much regret as to the murder of this Palestinian teenager. Likewise, there is too little sympathy for the three murdered Jewish teenagers. I fail to see why it was necessary for any of these four young men to be killed by anyone. It is a tragedy in each case. May God have mercy on their souls.

I don't believe that ANY of them were subject to the death penalty under Israeli law. I do not expect the Palestinian "government" agrees but that does not constitute a license for Palestinians to kill Jewish young people. There does not seem to be much proof of self-defense claims. The suspects in the killing of the Jewish boys seem to be Hamas killers of known identity. Whether the Palestinian boy was killed by Jewish counterparts or as a Muslim "honor killing," the killer(s) had no legitimate excuse. Revenge against random others is no excuse whatsoever. Life at hard labor for each killer and may the killers repent.

Mea culpa. somehow i conflated verse 13 with verse 14 of Leviticus 20. Maimonides in Sefer Hamitzvot confirms that homo anal sex is punishable by stoning, whereas mother/daughter threesoms get burnt. but it seems that these particular muzzies held with the burning faction in sharia.

More to the point, who gave the PA custody of the victim’s corpse? This was murder that occurred in Jerusalem, where only Israeli police have jurisdiction.

I may sound cold blooded, but i can’t muster sympathy for the dead. when the three teens were believed alive, they had my prayers. now, i’m interested in justice and the facts. they’re with G-d, Whose mercies are infinite, and the same with the Abu Khder kid. Who killed him and why is the more important question.
