An Attack That Came Out of the Ether ( excerpt from page 3 of 4)
Of the file folders that are spread in neat rows across Allen's desk, only one is bulging. It holds printouts of the reams of conversations about Obama's religion appearing on Free Republic. Since its start in 1996 by Jim Robinson of Fresno, Calif., the site has grown into a home for discussion of all types -- though it is particularly noted for spirited political discussions dominated by conservatives and libertarians. Freepers, as they're called, converse with a varying degree of transparency. Most remain anonymous.
Allen counted 23 freepers among those engaging in regular discussions about Obama's religion, and isolated a handful whom she began to suspect as having a role in the e-mail.

I don’t know about that. As I recall, I sent a private email to Jim Rob, asking him about Matt Mosk and was very angry to find out that there was some other issue with the reporter that Jim Rob didn’t warn me about. I felt that he should have told me who this guy was, but he didn’t. He told me to call him back and find out what he wanted. I have not been as active on a FreeRepublic since then.
Well, I was certainly proud of you then; I thought you came across as forthright and brave, and I was glad to have that kind of person representing Free Republic.
Don’t fool yourself, the woman is not a regular lurker. She only lurks when she is looking for targets.

Not only was Obama’s after a Muslim, so was his step father.
My IPad multiple posted. I am not going to apologize because it just happens too often. I am tired of apologizing.

It’s the same type of people .. probably just want to start a downer and see if they can discourage anybody.
I’d suspect Dems are trying that .. since they know they are headed for a HUGE backlash; at least some of them know it.
Sorry, I don’t understand your question re humblegunner.
And all you have to do is look at his actions. An American teenager was kidnapped and muredered by HAMAS terrorists in Israel. Not a peep from Hussein. An Arab teenager gets murdered by persons unknown, then its calling on Israel to show restraint, etc.
When Hussein was elected, I said the US was going to experiment with a post-American President. Hussein's been worse than that, he's our first anti-American President. And how's that working out not only for us, but more over for his voters?
The facts don’t matter, YOU didn’t win a ‘geniius award’. So there!!
Obama may not be a devout Muslim, but he does follow many of the Muslim traditions, like not celebrating birthdays, not wearing jewelry during Ramadan and other Muslims traditions, but only when it is convenient.
Obama picks and chooses which Muslim laws and traditions to follow, much like he does with the US laws.
It's as if we went into Matthew Mosk life and reported on organizations he belongs to... clubs he's been a part of ... innuendos - nothing truly revealed - but disquieting none the less.
If Danielle Allen wanted to set the record straight on rumors of Obama being Muslim (rumors I doubt) - and Matt wants to help her - they could start with interviewing a Muslim Imams. "IS a person born of a Muslim father considered Muslim?". I've heard it both ways.
Maybe Danielle Allen or Matthew Mosk could take 20 minutes - call a mosque and ask. Write a few paragraphs about the picture of Obama wearing Muslim garb in what appeared to be a ceremony. Could I have an explanation?
Would Matthew Mosk ask about a Republican President IF that Republican had been photographed in the bed-sheets of a KKK member when he was in his twenties? Would a liberal dare to ask if that Republican had a racist background? We ask the same of a person dressed in Muslim garb... is that really so different?
Or Matt could explain the difference between the underlying reality of Obama's policies in the ME and the the words he puts out - words the exact opposite of what we see. ME's on the brink of total war, stable countries have morphed into radical Muslim states...fledgling democracies have been toppled, the United States appears to be working with Iran, and working against Israel. How does that fit with the words put out? Why are the two so different?
Obama and Holder talk against Mexican drug cartels but they gave them arms... WITHOUT tracking devices. The words: against cartels. The actions: armed cartels. Explain the coincidence of drug cartels and Chicago? Comfort conservatives by looking into things rather than pointing fingers at those of us who question... The problem is NOT the messenger...
Obama's 'words' on the ME - Arab Spring gobbledygook - belies the ugly reality. Can Matthew Mosk of the Washington Post or Danielle Allen understand how we might question the gulf between the words and what we see with our own eyes?
If a Republican President had said he was supporting Mandala and was going to fight apartheid - then AFTER 6 years Mandela was put back in prison and blacks were booted out of all political offices, would YOU Matt or YOU Danielle - question the chasm between the words and the results? Damn right you would. Matthew Mosk and Danielle Allen. You would wake up - - sound the alarms. But if conservatives dare to notice the miles between Obama's words and the reality of his actions - we're condemned.
This piece was designed to strip us of our right to speak freely - to instill fear in us. The reality of the intent has been noted.
Well, maybe not, but I watched every episode I Dream of Genie! And it wasn’t to see Major Nelson. That has to count for something.

That is a GREAT post; one of the best I’ve ever read. You nailed it.
The parts of your post I appreciated most were (1) the wholesale degree to which Obama says one thing but does/acts 180 degrees different. [For example, when he says we are Israel’s friend, but he treats them like an enemy.], and (2) how the press never bats an eye.
Of course if a Republican said one thing & did the opposite the MSM would notice. So I guess we shouldn’t be surprised when, since it is not only a Dem but the media’s darling first POTUS of color, they are blind to his perfidy. Still, it was great to read it spelled out so strongly & clearly as it was in your post. It gave my spirits a definite lift.
No being obama is a negative thing.
