Virginia state Republican lawmakers have lost one of their most reliable sources of campaign cash with U.S. House Majority Leader Eric Cantor's defeat in a GOP primary contest last month.
Cantor's campaign account and the Cantor-controlled 7th District Republican Committee have given more than $700,000 directly to Republican state candidates since Cantor was first elected to Congress in 2000. That is according to campaign finance reports compiled by the Virginia Public Access Project, a nonprofit that tracks political contributions.
Helping Cantor help state politicians were big-name donors from around the country attracted by the majority leader's former star power. They include late Texas billionaires Bob Perry and Harold Simmons and casino magnate Sheldon Adelson's company.

The fundraising to these people will not be what it was.
GOOD!
The Mammon-worshipers still do not get it.
Kind of makes you wonder just what those people were buying, doesn’t it?
The only downside I can see is that, as regular conservative citizens refuse to fund their own loss of liberty, the politicians become more and more beholden to lobbyists and globalists.
I don’t think they got “over the line” in Mississippi..
Once the cheating and double votes are removed. They will have wasted a ton of walking around money on a loss.

Bob Perry - Home builder - Low cost Mexican labor has been leaving Texas for a while now
Sheldon Adelson - Low cost Mexican labor cleaning Vegas hotel rooms voted for Harry Read
GOP-E = leftwing socialists
Dem party = leftwing communists
Of course, it’s the “uni-party” destroying our Constitution!

When defense companies donate they give the candidate a sales talk on their product that they either want to sell or want to keep selling. The candidate enthusiastically says he’ll support them. The deal, probably with nothing more than the understanding that future money depends on this support, is struck.
A company we were competing against moved their plant to the district of a powerful committee chair. Their product was a silly expansive way of making commercial technology work in military equipment called “spray cooling.” During a televised hearing the chair was flustered by my company’s backed politician. The chair fluttered his hands and sputtered, “b-but this spray cooling thing is the way to go.” He didn’t care stripping all the commercial heat sinks off and making it so the equipment only worked when it was in a sealed environment with toxic chemicals made it impossible to troubleshoot the electronics. All he cared about was his money.
I dont believe it was Cantor's defeat that caused the reduction of sourcesof campaign cash
It was the appearance that the GOP-e would sink the entire slate of candidates in a civil war against TEA PARTY,
by taking away the election treasury , thus reassuring a Democrat victory.
Why spend money on a loseing cause ?
Just another political "hissey-fit" by an immature candidate and party demogogue leadership (?) who support him with his "hissey-fit".
Cantor did something MUCH MORE VALUABLE than he’ll EVER UNDERSTAND.
He showed Republicans that a challenger with NO MONEY can knock off one of the biggest, if not the biggest player in politics today. No one EVER thought that was possible. Even the Tea Party Groups wouldn’t go against Cantor, as they were ABSOLUTELY SURE he was unbeatable. And why not, since that has always been the case in recent elections. But that was before...
Now, that $700,000 (which is a drop in the bucket, by the way, coming out $50,000 per year...to spread in a state the size of Virgina - please - Clinton could raise a million in one fund-raiser) is TAINTED MONEY, as is Karl Rove’s money, and similar money from America Haters that want to join Obama in “transforming” this country by flooding it with Illegals.
I don’t even see any significance to the story...almost seems planted by the Cantor people to try to convince us that it was dumb to take him down. Well, sorry, IT IS OVER for Cantor, and some of us LOVE IT!
Nor will they ever I am afraid.
Defense companies have friends in the US Senate
ranging from Feinstein to McCain and Graham.
When McCain and Graham talk about training people somewhere in the world or sending weapons somewhere in the world defense contractors are involved.
When we (and the Russians, for that matter) give astonishing weapons to countries where Americans are in terrible danger there is always money in the picture someplace.
You have to wonder who in Russia profited from selling reactors to Iran who will definitely at some time arm Chechen’s with nukes.
Boo freakin’ hoo!
They didn’t make it over the line with legal votes, they went beyond just spending money advertising for votes and started buying votes.
Of course, it has nothing to do with the state draining the funds from the coffers after Dave Brat’s win, right? Poor RNC. They just don’t get any respect. They did not support their own governor’s candidate, actually supporting the democrat, instead, and you KNOW they’ll not support Dave Brat. Why would anybody give money? If the party rejects the voters’ wishes, then these are the real consequences.
You’re right - this is good news...
Or maybe they’ll have to make appeals based on what their supporters believe in. I don’t mean to imply that our people whored themselves out to the highest bidder or anythign...
