But the Dems aways unite in the general election — you don’t see Dem factions feuding and staying home, which is quite usual for GOP and conservative voters.
That’s how Dems get elected in the first place — GOP division results in just enough GOP voters staying home or voting third party to allow the Dems to win.
That’s how Obama got elected twice and that’s how the GOP didn’t capture the Senate the last time and may not do it this time.
“But the Dems aways unite in the general election you dont see Dem factions feuding and staying home, which is quite usual for GOP and conservative voters.”
DUDE, you are so wrong - remember the Blue Dog democrats who voted for Ron Reagen?
I vote FOR the person who shares my view of the world. I no longer vote for the lesser of two evils
Shill somewhere else!
You are telling me that, after calling the very voters he pretended to represent racist, those voters should voter for Thad Cochran after he promised Democrats that he would vote like a Democrat in the Senate? You are telling me that, after the few constituents who could actually speak with Eric Cantor expressed their strong opposition to amnesty and Cantor still supported amnesty (with plans to implement it in a lame duck session if necessary), those people should have still voted for Cantor?
YOU are supporting the Democratic plan here! You’re right, the Democrats don’t normally tell you what they are going to do in advance. So what kind of MORON would believe an article purporting to do so? The greatest threat to Democrats is a strong conservative opposition, one that might create a coalition of Reagan Democrats and economic conservatives that join with social conservatives. They WANT a party run by the GOPe... that leads to Democrat election victories where it counts. The average non-competitive races (thanks to gerrymandering) simply reflect the ideology of those that win the primary... which is why the Dems and GOPe are so afraid of the rise of conservative primary challengers. The Dems can get what they want from Thad Cochran, but not from Chris McDaniel.
The VA 7th will elect a Republican (unless, of course, the GOPe doesn’t rally behind Brat. Funny how conservatives are always expected to support the GOPe, but they never have to support us). If the GOPe is so desperate for “party unity,” then they can show us by throwing all of their support behind Dave Brat. To you and the GOPe I say “Prove it! You first!” Because I know they won’t... making this entire premise a load of crap...
Because conservatives are not sheep.
Why would we vote for the Republican that has pretty much the same goals as the Democrat?
You're completely missing the point.
