The chaos unfolding at the border demonstrates the catastrophic, real-world consequences of the presidents lawless conduct. For the last five years, with average household incomes falling and Americans being pushed out of the workforce, the president has been engaged in a sustained campaign to strip away Americans immigration protections. He has accomplished his aims: Interior removals have been cut by more than 40 percent. President Obamas own former ICE director reported to the Los Angeles Times that if you are a run-of-the-mill immigrant here illegally, your odds of getting deported are close to zero.

“the presidents lawless conduct”?
Shhhh, ya know nothing will be done to confront obammy’s lawlessness, cause he’s a negro.
I’ll second all this. We need real immigration reform..not amnesty. Instead we are getting even more illegals to feed off our welfare system and scam our taxes.
Obama wants a borderless America.
Why do we need real reform? That’s all I ever hear and in ALL the stories not one mentions what the current path to citizenship entails. I find that very telling.
And few if any stories on the subject ever talk about how we don’t enforce the laws currently on the books.
It’s currently illegal to sneak into this country as so many illegals do.
It’s currently illegal to overstay a tourist visa, or other type of visa, which is also a key way which illegals use to gain entry.
It’s currently illegal to work in this country without having legal status to be here.
It’s currently illegal to use fraudulent documents to get a job in this country.
It’s currently illegal for employers to hire those who are not in this country legally.
It’s currently illegal to use illegal documents or fraud to get legitimate documents such as a driver’s license.
The above types of criminal activity are simply not being prosecuted in this country. The penalty of deportation is just being used as punishment when we catch people doing things such as the above.
I would love to see us enforce the laws already on the books, and then, seeing the impact, see what remaining problems we have with illegals which would need to be dealt with.
It’s not intellectually honest for liberals and open border types to say “we need to fix our broken immigration system”, when we have a legal system of immmigration in place, and when illegal immigration is, by definition, against the law.
I meant to say, the penalty of deportation is NOT being used in the above statements. We don’t deport people as a general rule.
Enforce the laws already on the books...there’s a novel idea. Instead, we have an administration that is proactively suing the state of Arizona for enforcing the law they refuse to.....You just can’t make this up.
“Obama wants a borderless America.”
That’s the means to the end. A borderless America is only useful to the extent that it allows lots of non-Americans into the country to dilute the population of people who remember what America is truly about.
Senator Sessions:
“On this July Fourth, it is time to focus squarely on the needs of the American people who have given their blood and sweat to deliver us this magnificent Republic.
For instance:
Stop promoting amnesty. Instead, send a clear message to the world: If you attempt to come here unlawfully, you will be sent home. And send a message to our neighbors in Latin America: If you do not accept repatriation of your citizens who entered unlawfully, you will not be provided any more legal-immigrant visas.
Protect the workplace. Protect the jobs and wages of lawful residents. This can be done by expanding, as previously planned, the effective and easy-to-use workplace verification tool known as E-Verify, used to confirm a job applicants legal status. Senate Democrats have blocked this measure.
Remove the tax-credit magnet. According to the IRS inspector general, in 2010 the U.S. improperly paid out $4.2 billion in taxpayer money to illegal immigrants in the form of the additional child tax credits often to support children who are not even living in the United States. We can end this practice by simply requiring a valid Social Security number, as the IRS inspector general has recommended. Senate Democrats have blocked this measure, too.
Help our unemployed get back to work. With a record 58 million working-age Americans not working, we need to get our people off unemployment, off welfare, and into good-paying jobs that can support a family. Doubling the already large and continuing flow of legal immigration, as the Senate bill proposed, clearly works against this goal.
Create the conditions for rising wages. It is the job of lawmakers to represent all citizens, not just the denizens of Wall Street and Silicon Valley, and certainly not the narrow financial interests of international corporations with facilities spread across the globe. As long as we provide employers with an ever-increasing supply of low-wage workers from abroad, American wages are not going to rise. If a job is tough, or difficult, or in high demand, why shouldnt wages go up?
Challenge the presidents lawlessness. The president made clear with his Monday announcement on executive actions that he plans to go even further in not enforcing Americas immigration laws. Congress simply has no choice but to use its substantial constitutional powers to confront the presidents lawlessness. And if the Senate Democratic majority continues to empower this illegality, then they should be exposed publicly and held to account for doing so. To violate even further his constitutional requirement to enforce the law regardless of what other measures are taken will ensure that the border crisis continues.”
The obummer doesn't want American...period...
ie, impeach the constitution-loathing lawless bastard!!
AMEN to that!
Agree...agree...agree!!!
Thank You, Sen. Jeff Sessions ...
And, iirc, there’s a law already on the books to build the fence.
If the federla government won;t enforce the laws then the state governors lneed to stand up and enforce them, if obama or the fed doesn’t like it, tough, he’s not doing his job and someone else needs to do it.
