The orphaned Florida teen whose impassioned plea for a family to 'love him forever' prompted an outpouring of sympathy from around the country has been removed from his foster home following a physical altercation with another child and the father.
After 16 years of floundering in foster care, after taking the pulpit at a St. Petersburg church last September asking someone - anyone - to adopt him, after his story was shared around the world and 10,000 people offered to help or take him home, Davion Only moved to Ohio in March to live with the parents who had promised to care for him forever and love him no matter what.
The couple, a minister and his wife, flew Davion up to visit over spring break. They introduced him to their three children and took him to church. Davion came back to Florida just long enough to pack a small suitcase.

The article did not go into details about the misbehavior. If it was bad enough, the adoptive family would be justified in expelling him because they had no moral obligation to allow him to beat-up their own kids, burn the house down, etc. Also, it is easier to go the last mile for an unruly kid when the government does not interfere with spanking his unruly butt.
He seems to have a number of relatives, including a sister who appears to be an adult. I don’t understand why they would not care for him.
Or in other words, he started throwing major teenage temper tantrums and beating up his adoptive parents' kids, or maybe even the parents themselves.
I hate to say it, but he's probably headed for a life of violent crime and ultimately prison or worse.
I noticed that too, as I scanned the article.
It gave a lot of info leading up to the adoption, but it gave almost nothing on the home situation that caused the family to end the adoption.
The last person who should have adopted him is a pastor with 3 kids.
The last person who should adopt him is someone far away from his established support system, who has only met him once, even if it is a Christian pastor who has experience with troubled kids.

Unfortunately, kids like that usually have no established support system, except the neighborhood bad boys.
.
Yeah, I'm thinking a Marine Drill Sergeant with an MMA fighter wife.
This is what happens when stupid, idealistic idiots rule from their soft Christian hearts. The same kind of thinking is seen in the public square by clergy imploring us to take in every third world illegal alien.
his adoption agency, Eckerd... Eckerd is under fire as a number of potential parents claim that the agency never returned their calls in regard to Davion. The teen once received mass attention after appearing on national talk shows and morning shows, but now his adoption service wont allow him to communicate with the mediawith no cell phone or email access and stringent Facebook privacy settings.
Roughly 300 people contacted the Eckerd foster agency directly without any response. Loving parents interested in providing Davion a home blame the system for this unforgivable mess.
Except this is not every kid. This is a specific kid who had a support system in place. Too bad the “adults” didn’t take his individual circumstances into account.
You would have to tell me; you really would. You would have to tell me why large families leave one member or another homeless (my situation to a “T” to be honest).
He sure hasn’t!...lol
That is your situation? I’m very sorry to hear that. I don’t think I’d do that to anyone in my family.
Which is why I’m career oriented; thing is, that there are a lot of selfish people out there and that’s why I’m supportive (to a limit) on welfare. We keep hearing stories of kids being kicked out and frankly, homelessness would be worse without some kind of safety net.
Davion has been rejected for yet another time and I cannot imagine how painful it is. For all we know, one of the other kids didn’t want them there, started something, then Davion has to leave again. So go figure, another rejection by people he thought he could trust to accept him.
