Cleveland is OK. Dallas is OK.
The city isn’t the issue.
The issue is the GOP-E losing the conservative base of the party.
The way conventions have been staged over the last 30 or so years, they might as well be held in some TV studio. Nothing unscripted ever happens anymore. There are no more floor fights, no more arguments over platforms, and absolutely zero suspense over who will win the nomination.
Frankly, conventions are a big snooze today. The decisions have all been made long before. IMHO, they are a waste of time and money, and just an excuse for folks to go out of town and party.
Exactly, but so far I don't see any signs that the GOPe will change.
