MURRIETA (CBSLA.com/AP) — A dramatic scene in Murrieta that saw American flag-waving protesters prevent Homeland Security buses carrying undocumented migrant children and families from reaching a suburban processing center is likely to be repeated in the coming days, a city official said Wednesday.
Mayor Pro-Tem Harry Ramos told KNX 1070′s Dick Helton that the standoff Tuesday – which included several protesters holding U.S. flags and signs reading “stop illegal immigration,” and “illegals out!” – may occur every 72 hours as a new busload of immigrants are processed through Border Patrol.
“I believe that there will be protests every time there are buses on track,” he said.
The standoff came after Mayor Alan Long urged residents to complain to elected officials about the plan to transfer the Central American migrants to California to ease overcrowding of facilities along the Texas-Mexico border.
After the buses were blocked, federal authorities rerouted the vehicles to a freeway and then to a customs and border facility in San Diego within view of the Mexico border.
At least 40 illegal immigrants processed are in quarantine for head lice and scabies, according to CBS 2′s Tom Wait. A Border Patrol agent told Wait another 140 could be brought to Murrieta on the Fourth of July.

Let 'em. If they beat on, injure or fire on US citizens peacefully exercising their constitutionally protected rights to free assembly and redress of grievances, there will be repercussions.
I’d let them all loose in Juan McCain and Goober Graham’s neighborhood. That way they can be guarateed cheap lettuce.
They should be camping on the WH grounds and helping with Michelle’s gardens. Malia and Sasha could hang around with them.
So far 2 cities in Calif and 1 in Va have prevented the illegals from being dumped on them

I suggest they be sent to the White House. It is perfect, it is fenced in, has on the grounds food service, medical care is available and it is guarded so they won’t be bothered. Lets vote!
Good to see local authorities supporting citizens
The local authorities should stop the busses and insist on health checks. If Feds refuse, arrest them on suspicion of child abuse. Local authorities do have laws on their side...esp concerning children. Bussing sick children across the country is abuse
This is all well and good but people need to be protesting inside their State capitols. They need to get into the faces of their Governors, Attorney Generals, and Legislators and demand that they do something about this invasion.
If fences don't work...why is there a fence around the White House?
