Buchanan and Johnson (both of them) were awful, was Grant really that bad?
I wouldn’t put Grant in the “worst” group: He was a Civil War winner* and a Republican. If anything, from what I’ve read, Grant’s guilty of being too trusting, hardly a reason to cast him with Obama, Cater, Buchanan and the Johnsons.
*I’m sure some Reb will throw their unsolicited crap into the mix over that fact. My reply: Get over it.
