The come-from-behind victory of US Sen. Thad Cochran (R-MS) in last weeks Republican runoff was noted for Cochrans outreach to Democratic voters, to African Americans in particular, an outreach which appears to have resulted in more than enough votes to account for the senior lawmakers narrow margin. In declining to concede, much less congratulate his opponent, challenger Chris McDaniel (R) blamed his loss on Democrats voting in the Republican runoff, and plans to look for alleged irregularities in the voting. Last year there were two other examples of Democratic voters playing a significant role in Republican races. In a GOP runoff for a vacant congressional seat in Alabamas 1st District (Mobile, etc.), after business and mainstream Republicans helped Bradley Byrne defeat Tea Partier Dean Young, a campaign staffer for Young placed the blame on Democrats voting in the GOP race.(SNIP)
In Louisiana, voters do register by party, but all candidates, regardless of party, ran in the same primary in a special congressional election in the 5th District (Monroe, etc.) and two Republicans ended up in the runoff. Both of the candidates appealed openly to black voters. Businessman Vance McAllister ran on a more moderate platform, promising to fix, but not repeal Obamacare. Moreover, his campaign featured robocalls for him from former US Rep. Cleo Fields (D), an African American. McAllisters opponent, state Sen. Neil Riser (R), had the support of black state Sen. Elbert Guillory (D), who carried his county for Riser.

Didn’t rush try something like this back in the day?
GOP does the same thing. Both sides act like children. We need to stand above the Dims. Just close the friggin Primaries and be done with it.
How is this a new strategy?
Open primaries are a travesty. The RATs will always be better than the GOPers at electoral pranksterism.
Do Republican creeps get any more love than the Democratic creeps, I sure hope not, this was an abomination of an election with the worst person winning! Talk about corrupt politics, this was the worst!
Note that a Louisiana beneficiary was Vance the Smooch McAllister who, photographed passionately kissing a staffer although he is somewhat married, had promised not to run again to get the presstitutes to go away and has now, naturally, decided to run anyhow. He lied to his wife. Why should mere voters expect better treatment?
New deceits from old elites. The concoctions of criminals. The schemes of socialists.

Socialism Is Legal Plunder - Bastiat
DEPOPULATE the U.S.A. (United Socialists of America) through the ballot box. Socialism is unsustainable. Debt slaves to elites/totalitarians? No thanks.

He has erected a multitude of New Offices, and sent hither swarms of Officers to harrass our people, and eat out their substance.
Sure, but that was to beat a democrat. These dummies have done it to beat a republican.
Why don't they just join parties. Someone needs to squash the Tea Party rebellion.
