JERUSALEM The Israeli military found the bodies of three missing teenagers yesterday just over two weeks after they were abducted in the West Bank a grim discovery that ended a frantic search that led to Israels largest ground operation in the Palestinian territory in nearly a decade and drew Israeli threats of retaliation. Hamas is responsible and Hamas will pay, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu vowed, referring to the Islamic militant group that Israel has accused of carrying out the kidnappings.

Sounds like Baghdad (we"ll roast your stomachs in Hell) Bob has a new job.
More hyperbole from the Gasbag Gallery. The truth is closer to “the doggie door to Heck ...”
The Gates of Hell opened to let these animals out, they can open when the IDF sends them back.
Hopefully, the “gates of hell” will open upon Hamas!
RIGHT!!!
Well past time to turn that part of the desert back to nothing but sand & brush.
Good, cause I am pretty confident Heaven wins!
Is Israel going to open the gates? Gaza needs a little shock and awe.
You got it, HEAVEN wins!
I still call them what they are; terrorists.
Why?
Was thinking about 1948 for some reason, two states, Israel and Jordan.
Israel still deals with them on a legal basis and treats the ordinary people there as plain civilians and Israel avoids doing anything to jeopardize their rights. Israel fully recognizes these people even if you object to it.
Jordan was taken out of the equation at the San Remo conference in the early 1920s.
When the Jewish representatives for the future state of Israel came to the United Nations in 1947 they argued VERY STRONGLY for a partition plan with Jordan NOT THERE. The reason why was that “without the partition” the Arabs outnumbered the Jews by TWO TO ONE and it would have been an ARAB STATE.
SO ... the Jews got the Partition (and they celebrated all over the world - and thus - they got their JEWISH MAJORITY in their partition, which is what they wanted.
When the Arabs attacked, later in 1948, the eventual cease fire lines held closely to the “partition” so that the Jews KEPT THEIR MAJORITY and thusly making it “the Homeland for the Jews”!
I do object to it, as I object to them being called Palestinians when there is no such thing. However my objections aside, the reality is there is no such thing as Palestinians regardless of the way Israel treats them.
I think also the Jordan issue got settled with and I am digging into brain now, hopefully not because of the early summer heat, but also was there a “black September” incident that forced Jordan to get rid of any supporters of a seperate Palistine? Thank-you for your response.
The PLO tried to kick the King of Jordan out and take it over for the “Palestinians”. The King and his forces fought against the Palestinians, and then, Syria sent a column of tanks down to help the Palestinians defeat the King. He was not going to survive with Syria getting in.
SO he pleaded for help from the USA, but the USA couldn’t intervene fast enough to help. So the US asked Israel if they could help. Israel did and sent some jets over into Syria to strafe the tanks and give them warning if they entered Jordan that Israel was going to face them down and wipe out all their tanks. The Syrian tanks promptly turned back and went home. The King of Jordan then beat the Palestinians and drove them out of the country.
Call them anything you want, as long as people understand that you’re talking specifically about those people who are living on the land as defined in the Oslo Accords - because that’s what everyone knows as Palestinians.
You could call them Muslims, but there are Muslims in other countries, so that doesn’t narrow it down to “that group”. You could call them “terrorists” - but there are terrorists inside the USA, inside Europe, inside Syria, inside Afghanistan ... so that doesn’t narrow it down to that specific group. You could call them Arabs, but there are Arabs outside that area, so again, it doesn’t narrow down to that specific group.
You could call them the X-People, and you could give the definition that would narrow it down to just them, but would anyone else know what you’re talking about. It’s not likely - so it would be a non-useful word.
That’s the kind of problem you have with whatever “word” you choose.
One more thing ... Jordan did “occupy” that land (Judea and Samaria) since 1948 and they intended to keep that land. But circumstances changed, Jordan lost the land in 1967, although they maintained their “claim” to it. Later, Jordan gave its “claim” to the land over to the PLO and at that time the Oslo Accords happened and Israel and Jordan signed a treaty between them.
Prior to the Oslo Accords Israel did enter into secret negotiations to give the land back to Jordan, but there was a “political hitch” in the deal from Israel’s side so it never went through. It was after that - that Jordan assigned its interests in Judea and Samaria to the PLO and afterwards Oslo came.
And Hamas will be welcomed to whence it came.
How about we call them Syrians, Egyptians, Jordanians, and Lebanese because that is what they are.
