I always think a majority of children left to die in cars during the summer are killed on purpose.

It seems that a lot of children die in house fires, as well, while the adults seem to make it out of the place. I cannot imagine escaping a fire and not trying to go back in to get my children.
When I read those stories, I always try to give the adults the benefit of the doubt by thinking that maybe they couldn’t get to the child’s room because the fire was blocking their access, so they ran outside to try to get to the children through a window. That’s not true in all cases, I’m sure, but that probably is true in many cases.
