Dumb law. What a therapist and a patient does and the goals of that therapy is not the business of the government.
They’ll be no mental counseling going on for sexual deviants in California.
Suddenly SCOTUS cares about state laws? Even ones that violate the First amendment?
Terrible ruling, just like the gun buyer “straw man” fiasco.
Should have presented this case as a freedom of religion issue. There is nothing in the case that would prevent religious organizations from preaching tha homosexual acts are sins and offer religious support and counseling to help those seeking therapy from a religious counsellor.
All a Christian therapist would need to do is associate with a church or establish a Christian organization to help those seeking counselling.
