US TAKES GAY RIGHTS GLOBAL, DESPITE UNSURE WELCOME

WARSAW, Poland (AP) -- President Barack Obama's administration has taken the U.S. gay rights revolution global, using American embassies across the world as outposts in a struggle that still hasn't been won at home.

Sometimes U.S. advice and encouragement is condemned as unacceptable meddling. And sometimes it can seem to backfire, increasing the pressure on those it is meant to help.

With gay pride parades taking place in many cities across the world this weekend, the U.S. role will be more visible than ever. Diplomats will take part in parades and some embassies will fly the rainbow flag along with the Stars and Stripes.

The United States sent five openly gay ambassadors abroad last year, with a sixth nominee, to Vietnam, now awaiting Senate confirmation. American diplomats are working to support gay rights in countries such as Poland, where prejudice remains deep, and to oppose violence and other abuse in countries like Nigeria and Russia, where gays face life-threatening risks.

"It is incredible. I am amazed by what the U.S. is doing to help us," said Mariusz Kurc, the editor of a Polish gay advocacy magazine, Replika, which has received some U.S. funding and other help. "We are used to struggling and not finding any support."

His (Obama's) number one foreign policy priority is the promotion of lesbians, gays, bi-sexuals, and transgenders around the world. It is the thing he is most consistent about and the thing he consistently backs with the might and muscle of the United States no matter what.

He issued a presidential memorandum in 2011 making LGBT rights a major foreign policy priority. He directed every part of the Federal government that does business beyond our borders to make this a priority issue including, inexplicably, the Department of Agriculture.

Don’t think the Obama Doctrine is not serious or that he treats LGBT issues like he treats America’s traditional leadership role in the world, that is, with regret and disdain. No, for this he punishes. In March he withdrew greatly needed financial assistance to Uganda because Uganda passed what many see as draconian laws restricting LGBT activity, both public and private.

I know a man, married and the father of 2 beautiful children, who divorced his wife and set up house with another man. They have now been together for 30 years. He still visits his wife and children.

This reminds me of Jimmy “The Malaise” Carter, whose foreign policy was so awful that five formerly allied countries either became communist or worse. So Carter decided to whine at the rest of the world about human rights.

That is, after throwing tens or hundreds of millions of innocent people into the fires of tyranny and genocide, he ineffectually squealed about how other tyrants were abusing their own people, as they had for decades or more. The only thing he actually did was to boycott the Olympics after the Soviet Union invaded Afghanistan, a completely pathetic gesture.

So now, after having proven himself crudely offensive and incompetent to our allies; cowardly and inferior, if supportive of our enemies; and a braggart and fool to all, like Carter, Obama takes an unimportant, peripheral issue and pretends it is of moment.

Unfortunately, most Christians sat in their stain-glassed windowed churches and not paying attention to what was going on around them. In fact, many in these churches have adopted the mantra of “gay” rights. I shudder to think of what judgments God will allow on our country because His people - embraced this depravity and abominational lifestyle. And, to think because the takers of this country were more concerned about their welfare than our country - we now sit on the precipice of the wrath of God. Yes, God is love, but God is also a God of wrath and righteous judgment. He will NOT be mocked!
