Because giving her money is the point. Look at the underground economy that funds the lilly whites. For blacks, the funding programs come from EBT and other poverty type programs, or minority businesses set asides. For lilly whites, their welfare programs are often based around universities. Money is collected from the public through tuition, grants, and state tax money which can then be distributed to ideological allies. There is no practícal purpose for even having commencement speakers, the fees would pay for ten associate professors. It is a lilly white money laundering operation.
In many cases it is a way for public funds to be put into their pockets.
